Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Springfield

Food was good. I ordered 2 large gizzards $4.99 each and a large mashed potato and gravy. My total was $13.99 What I received was two large gizzards and a large gravy. When I came back in to explain and exchange for what I ordered, the manager talked over me and was argumentative and made me feel like I was trying to get something for free without actually listening to what I was trying to explain. He asked me to pay again for a large mashed potato and gravy but I explained again and then he turned away with a sigh and an obvious disdain for me. I returned the large gravy, at his rudely articulated request, assuming I would receive a large mashed potato w gravy but only received a large mashed potato with no gravy. I elected not to return for the gravy that I was owed because I didn't want to be embarrassed in front of the other patrons again. He may need a quality of service...

I love Lee's Famous Recipe and have since the 70's. The only complaint if I had to imagine one is the lack of fried mushrooms on the menu now that were then. I make the chicken stock at home then , my wife the fresh Cole slaw, chicken gravy and real mashed potatoes at home, as I run for the Sunday or Thursday 10 piece dark meat box Special not well advertised. And that is ok, as occasionally may have to await a thigh or two and get to enjoy a segue chit chatting with others socializing, while being offered a gizzard sample. True hospitality there on Limestone under the watchful eye of a Colonel who stopped any accidental overcharging of dine in tax on a carry out box. Thank you sir.
