SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — A man was covered in blood outside of the McDonald's on North Grand after he said he was attacked with a baseball bat.

Around 8:40 p.m. on Monday, a female in the drive-through noticed a man sitting at the front door covered in blood. She approached the man and he advised he had been attacked with a baseball bat.

When officers arrived the victim stated he did not know who the suspect was.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries to his arms, face, and head. The staff at the hospital advised the injuries were non-life threatening.

The Springfield Police Department will attempt to get video from McDonald's on Tuesday.

This is the third review I've had to write on this place. I had to delete my other two reviews because I can't have more than one review.

I came in here and ordered two double cheeseburgers with mayonnaise and lettuce at 4:30 p.m. the first time they screwed it up they only put mayonnaise and ketchup on my double cheeseburgers. The second time they messed it up they removed a slice of cheese and added lettuce. The third time they messed it up they still forgot my mustard and pickles. Then they gave me my money back. I left a half an hour later never got my food.

The only reason why I ever come here is because my disabled uncle lives a block away and sometimes I get hungry but they always mess my food up or they take forever. This time I missed my bus so I have to wait for the next bus. It's a good thing I didn't wait any longer because I wouldn't be able to make it back home because I would have done missed the last bus. This place sucks they need to shut this place down or hire people that actually know how to do their job. They are straight up disrespectful I should have split in those burgers when I handed them...

Mcdonalds on North Grand/9th St Springfield, Illinois on July 11th, 2019 at 8:35pm to 8:50pm ALL lights were off, many vehicles pulling into the drive thru left, it was pitch dark outside too.... I mentioned none if the lights outside are on to the blk cashier young girl at the 1st drive thru window, I told her you cant read the menu at all the lights are off, you cant even see it, so I pulled up to the 1st window & ask why the lights are off & are you open, this girl said "I can wait on you"...I again ask why they are closed at 8:40pm, she laughed & laughed but thats all.. Also the girl taking my money over charged me for a large sprite, I believe she mumbled $1.69, I told her its $1.09 I order large drinks all the time, she said, "Ohhhhhh" & changed the price. I told her over & over AGAIN all the outside lights are off, she just kept laughing & laughing & she said Im going to go tell them to turn the lights on we are open until 2am... This blk young girl came back to the cashier window 4 blk kids ages apprx 9 yrs old to 11 yrs old begged her for all kinds of food, chicken nuggets & sandwichs conversation between employee & kids, these kids knew your employee, visa versa...she handed them out a large bag of food out the 1st window in the drive thru where you pay... PLEASE LOOK ON CAMERAS ON THIS DATE 7/11/2019 (thurs) AT EXACTLY 8:43PM you will see these boys (kids) hanging all over the drive thru 1st window... & YOU WILL SEE HER HANDING OUT A LARGE SACK OF FOOD... Those kids grabbed the bag & ran off with it.. ONCE AGAIN VERY POOR SERVICE, I WISH I COULD LEAVE A NEGATIVE 10 BCUZ I WOULD... MCDONALDS IS HIRING THIEFS & KIDS RUNNING THEIR BUSINESS... I WILL NOT EAT HERE EVER AGAIN! AND WHERE IS THE "DISLIKE" ICON??? THERE...

Where to start, we had just left from the hospital and this place was close. First off all the lights were shut off so it was hard to tell if they were even open at 8pm. The lights should have been our sign to just drive on past but we thought, its a McDonald's so... (but really why not turn the lights on, its like they want to make the neighborhood look rough and run down) then we get to the drive thru they don't even have half of what we ask for!?!?! Never had that at any McDonald's and I've been to a few. After we finally get ordered we pull up to the window, as we are waiting there is a constant alarm going off. After a minute or 2 someone comes over gets my card to pay (there looks to just be obvious confusion throughout the place) He brings my card back the alarm inside still going off. We sit for another 3-4 minutes atleast bf someone else comes to the window and asks if we have gotten our drinks which we replied "no" and I don't know if its just me or this new day and age but when he replied the machine was out of cups and began grabbing new cups with bare hands and placing them in the machine one by one by the tops it was kind of gross. But after he placed a few he pressed a button and the alarm that had been going off for the last 8 minutes now that we were at the window stopped. After we were finally given our drinks another minute or 2 passed bf we received our food. As my wife reached in and grabbed some fries we realized they didn't even salt the fries. I don't know what the deal was with the burger but it was about what I would have expected given the rest of the experience. We ended up throwing it all away and going somewhere else! Dont even waste your time bothering with this place it...
