Trying Mikey’s is something that we’ve been wanting to do, reading other reviews and pizza being one of our favorite foods and all so the time finally came. We gave Mikeys a call to check on some prices, you know just to make sure nothing was astronomical like things sometimes can be these days, I asked the guy on the phone how much a large pepperoni would be his response was around $20 so I asked him again. I said around $20 he goes yeah it’ll be $20 and I said OK how about a small deluxe or supreme pizza he says we don’t have any pizza like that, we have a fat Jackie and I said well that sounds interesting, yeah, how much is a small fat Jackie he said $12. I said OK we’ll take one of each so we drove up to Springfield from Enon and picked up our pizza the guy charged me $32.50. We left a tip so total of $34.50. We also grabbed the menu and came home. The pizza was delicious. OK there’s lots of things I can say about the building being filled with smoke or the man in the building telling us that Mikey was outside sleeping in his car or other things like that. The pizza was delicious, so anyway a day later I’m looking at the menu we brought home and I see the price of a large pepperoni pizza is $16.50 and the price of a small fat Jackie is $12 so that’s $28.50 for the both, they charged me $32.50 and I left a tip on top of that long story short our pizzas were delicious, Mikey was asleep in his car, building full of smoke (hard to keep your eyes open) and not sure...
Read moreThis place definitely had some of the better pizza I have had in the area. It has a small town feel. I actually met with the owner briefly as he was actively working the front and back. This place is a story of a young man following his dreams and being successful at it, this shows through the product I received. From the product and the kindness of him you could tell that he truly cares for both his product and customers. The product itself was plentiful with cheese, sauce, and toppings. The flavors were good, I prefer a bit more hearty of a sauce and this one was a bit on the sweet side. You should try this place out, small, local owned, with passion. Be sure to call ahead as covid has effected the hours due to lack of staffing. They opened later than published on...
Read moreThey lost an order big time. Wife called to order, phone rang and rang. Second call, they say "call back in 20 minutes". Hmm, must be busy. No worries, it's a 20 minute drive we'll just go order in person and check it out as we've never been to this place before. We get there, and they're CLOSED. This is at around 515 this evening, as their website and Google posted them as closing at 9pm. Needless to say, just another typical Springfield waste of space and time. Normally dont go out of our way for pizza but we won a gift card in a raffle and were going to order another 10 pizzas on top of that. Oh well, at least I know to not waste my time on this...
