Amazing restaurant! Mexican food can also look like this! No chips and salsa or chimichangas. This is what fine dining Mexican food looks like. The cocktails are amazing! Exactly what restaurants in Chicago and Mexico City are making. So proud of what you guys are building here in Springfield! Went to eat for Tulum night and it felt like being in Tulum! All the staff including hostess, servers, and bartenders were so kind and friendly. Representing what Mexican culture is all about. Tried the entree’s the pulpo zarandeado and the tacos chilaka both amazing! Nothing like this around! Will definitely be back just for these dishes. The only thing that I find missing in this beautiful restaurant are the desserts. I’ve had both the elotito and the churro dessert and both left me a little sad. Dessert is the present at the end of the night, el regalo! The elotito lacked flavor and the cajeta and stale popcorn do not make a dessert elegant. The churro as well was a bit chewy and too large. If you want to be compared to restaurants in Chicago or be the little Tzuco in Springfield. Then there’s a lot left in the desserts...rooting for you guys! You guys are just starting out and can’t wait to see more! -Shoutout to servers Ingrid, Biri. Our bartender Sergio and Naye....
Read moreWe were excited to try a new Mexican restaurant. Call us disappointed. We were seated immediately as it wasn't very busy and brought water and ordered a cocktail. My beer arrived quickly but it took 20 minutes for my wife's Margherita ($13) We ordered food from a menu that was unreadable due to small goldfish print on a tan background. It was authentic in that much was written in Spanish.
We were glad that our friends couldn't join us because the ambient noise was so loud we could barely hear each other.
The food arrived and the presentation was good. My chimichanga ($19)was adequate but not very flavorful. Glad they served it on a warm plate as it was barely warm. There were no hot sauces like is normal in most Mecican restaurants. My wife had chicken enchiladas ($17)which were bland and had more potatoes than chicken. (I never heard of potato enchiladas) .
It is common to serve complimentary tortilla chips and salsa but no such thing.
Due to the high prices and mediocre food and service we will not be returning. Total tab with tip was $78. Wish Aztka was...
Read moreFrom the very first bite to the last sip, this restaurant absolutely blew us away. The appetizers set the tone — every dish was bursting with fresh flavor and beautifully presented. And then came the Rosa Mole — hands down one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Rich, silky, and perfectly balanced, it’s the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-conversation just to savor it.
The drinks? Fantastic. Every cocktail was as creative as it was delicious. But as much as the food and drinks were incredible, the real magic of the night came from our server, Biri. Her warmth, energy, and attention to detail turned an amazing meal into an unforgettable experience. She didn’t just serve us — she hosted us. It felt like dining with a friend who genuinely wanted us to love every moment.
This place is special, but Biri made it extraordinary. Can’t wait...
