Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Springfield

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SONIC IN OHIO!!! Coming from a loyal customer and former Employee, I’ve come with plenty reasons as to why you should avoid this place at all costs. Let’s start from an employees perspective. Crew members and Staff are terribly trained and I myself was improperly trained in all areas as a cook and as a carhop. We are not strictly told to wear gloves nor are we told to wash our hands! There are flys swarming the kitchen, landing on all food items such as fries, all burger toppings and sauces, landing on the fryers… etc. As cooks our staff did not change gloves after handling garbage and will touch all food items raw and cooked with said gloves. MANAGEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The General Manager Kelly is extremely disrespectful to certain staff and is trying to run a friends and family business. She hires people entirely unfit for the position due to drug habits (Workers coming in high, nodding off at the drive through window) to workers quitting in the middle of shifts. They play favorites and make unexpected unexplained changes to the schedule before consulting with anyone. THERE IS A TERRIBLE ROACH PROBLEM AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE WE ARE TOLD TO JUST KILL THEM. In every corner there is a possibility of seeing an insect. The place is disgusting and should by no means be operating. Crew members bring friends and family inside of the establishment that do not work there....

This place is horrible. Ordered 3 burgers, 3 fries, and 3 drinks. Drinks full of ice, hardly any pop, burgers looked like they were slapped together, thrown into the wrappers and then stomped flat. The fries were cold even after being told that our order had just been made. Pulled away only to find out that our fries weren't remotely even warm. Turned around in the parking lot to go back through the drive thru and get new, hot fries, only for the girl at the window named Racheal to throw an attitude, demand the fries back with attitude and then she did not realize she didn't close the window and started mocking what we complained about and being completely unprofessional not realizing we could hear all her disgraceful behavior (parents should be proud). This isn't the first second or third time we've had run ins at this Sonic like this but it will be the last time we ever go here again. We'll spend our money where the business appreciates their customers, serves good hot edible food with respect and fixes mess ups without attitudes. This place is a joke. Find better, respectful help, or you'll be out of business...

Every time I go through this location, it seems that I'm interrupting the routine or the conversation of the staff inside - that is the impression that I get, because the last three times I've been here, the food is overcooked as if it's been on the warmer about three hours or so, and then literally slopped into the bun with about half of the ingredients you wanted and some they feel they have to put on, resulting in something you can eat, but just barely. Going back is no use - why subject yourself to this torture twice in one day if you can avoid it? I have worked convenience and fast food myself, and am sympathetic to many things, but in each instance we were literally either the only ones there in the last several minutes, on one of about two cars in line - not exactly a back breaking rush demanding speed leading to rushed mistakes. And we only ordered five items, two of which were burgers, one root beer, fries, and jalapeno poppers. Surely you'd think freshly cooked meat is not too much to ask. Attention to detail and to customers - the conversation can wait! Or there will be no customers left...
