Wow, what a win that was! Great service. Great prices. Great portions. Smallest items are the sandwiches, and they come with unlimited, good fries. I know: You want to hear about the food. I gotchu'. 'Round the table, then.
Wait, actually. First, let me tell you that you should order online for a free, random loaf of bread, a free cupcake, or whatever promo they have going whenever you get to this. We didn't know and just dined in, but we're not complaining. Oh, and apparently, you get a free slice of pie on Wednesdays? They sure seem to run a lot of good gimmicks for a place that can stand on its quality. I like that! Shows initiative and a drive for customer satisfaction. Okay, right, table time.
We all got a free cup of creamy potato soup. We didn't see anything about this on signs, the menu, or anything, so it was a pleasant surprise. I guess that the chef was just on fire and decided that we could use some extra awesomeness. First time there, so don't quote me as though this must be a regular deal. Geez, was that tasty!
Chicken burger, fried, everything on it: Garnishes came on the side and were excessively generous, as God intended. Delicious, not greasy, moist, and came with infi-fries.
Chicken burger, grilled, no garnishes: Looked even better than the fried one, similarly moist, not greasy, delicious, you get the drift. Also too big for her appetite, also with infi-fries.
Chicken parmesan: Awesome! I don't really tend to recommend pastas from non-Italian eateries, but this guy did, and he wasn't disappointed. Messy, but happy!
Chicken-fried chicken: Holy potatoes, they don't skimp on the gravy. Also, those are two large breasts. Delicious country gravy; didn't need to add extra pepper to it or anything. Moist, delicious, tender, awesome chicken.
Pork tenderloin: See previous, but in impressively tender pork.
"Steak house pot roast" sandwich: I win again! No disrespect to the other dishes, but my sandwich was overflowing with, as verified by shared bites with everyone, incredibly tender, juicy, flavorful beef, complimented with perfect onion strips, on a soft, warm hoagie, and it's just hard to beat that. Would've been worth the ~$12 (Not bad with this inflation, right? And the priciest meal was the chicken parm at about $12.50.) even without the infi-fries.
The fries were pretty much ideal. About the only way that I'd improve them is further seasoning to my tastes, but for a broader palate appeal, these are lightly seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, moist, not greasy, brought to you fresh and hot, and just plain yummy.
I don't reckon that any of us will eat dinner tonight. We couldn't even find room for dessert, and we have Braum's Ice Cream as an option! I dunno' what more I can tell you. You have to mind dates on reviews because a restaurant can change course in the blink of an eye (Lord knows I still have hot reviews on places that went cold!), but it seems like these folks have gotten a hold of solid consistency, so give it a spin.
Oh, and so that you don't waste a bunch of time looking for them: No photos this time! The presentation was good, but not spectacular, and the menu images are faithful, so this experience didn't necessitate visual aid....
Read moreMy husband and I had tried breakfast and supper so we decided to try lunch as well, so Thursday after work we gave them a try just to see if it was a fluke or if the 3rd time would be as good as the first 2 well let me tell ya it was. We were quite pleased.
We split an order of onion rings, my husband ordered them to surprise me but much to both of our surprise they could have fed 3 to 4 of us there were that many that he thought it would be a single-size serving, You truly get your money's worth.
For Lunch
I tried the Chicken BLT on a Bun with french fries and Coffee, you have the option of fried or grilled chicken I had the grilled it was very juicy and tender, seasoned just right the fries were perfectly crispy. I'm very picky and I was very pleased.
My husband tried the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and he really enjoyed it, mind you it is enormous, and he said the flavors were dead on he didn't have to add anything to it, and this man adds salt and pepper to EVERYTHING!! He requested extra pickles and ate all of them one because the sandwich was so big and two he enjoyed the pickles lol. He also liked the french fries as much as I did as well.
I am going to have to say we enjoyed our lunch as much as we did our first two visits, thank you for doing such a great job, we...
Read moreIf I could give less than one star I would! Just yesterday I visited this restaurant, and I decided to check with my bank because the waitress said there was a problem with the machine and she had tried to run my card three times. She said the meal was free because she couldn’t figure it out. After checking with the bank she charged my card 3 times for the same meal. Seems like an honest mistake but she charged it for more than the meal cost. I was charged $60 3 times when my meal was only $42, I hadn’t had a chance to add the tip yet on the next receipt. I gave her $10 in cash for the tip because I felt bad. I went in to the restaurant with my bank statement to try and rectify the situation and they would not do anything about it. No refund, no apology, just plan rude customer service. I went in with a very calm factual demeanor because I had the proof in my hands, so I felt like I would definitely get things taken care of and fixed. They told me my bank was wrong and that they did not believe me. I have no idea how many people they have done this to that haven’t checked there bank statements but it doesn’t seem like a mistake to me. Please dine with caution and check your...
