There is a whimsical “Little Coffee Shop” called El Cafecito on South Campbell Road in Springfield, Missouri. If you blink you will pass it, but keep trying until you find it. They even have a drive through if your in a hurry. I meet fellow foodie Shawn Kraft and local restaurateur for some delicious delights. I also had the please of talking to Co Owner Shanie Valdez who owns w her Husband and they also are part owners of El Charro Ozark: by Walmart. The goal is to have a little coffee shop that serves delicious savory foods, baked goods and let’s not forget the coffee ☕️ Shawn ordered a “Cafe Olle de Olla” which they reduce in a pan to order w Christmas Spice, interesting and delicious 😋 He also ordered the Tortas Ahogadas $11 which is Shanie’s favorite sandwich. It is a baguette and pulled pork w delicious sauces. I had a ”Lavender London Fog” and a custom made Tostada w Chorizo, Tomatoes, Avocado and a Chimmichurri Sauce. (Don’t think a traditional Argentina Chimichurri, this is pink and I am assuming mayo or Queso Fresco based) Almost every seat was packed when I went in so I bet they will expand soon 🔜 Shanie says her dream is to have a place like First Watch except with her theme. I am all for more Mexican Breakfast in the area 😉 PS to First Watch, I would eat there more if I could have breakfast for dinner, one of my faves 😆 If you get a chance come visit this wonderful little secret spot that is becoming not so secret anymore 😝 Follow me on Facebook 👇 https://www.facebook.com/thechefsview?mibextid=LQQJ4d

Fantastic coffee shop! We visited at 9am on a Saturday morning. We got Mexican Mocha, Chai Latte, Chichaloco Burrito, Sincronizada Quesadilla, and Nutella Concha. First off the food was AMAZING! The burrito and quesadilla was full of flavor. The coffee was equally amazing. Had a good coffee flavor with chocolate in my mocha. The Chai Latte also tasted better than most places in Springfield. The Concha are AMAZING. Got another to go on our way out. Will be back to try the rest of the menu! The staff was friendly and super helpful. Answered any questions we had and were very kind. The only negative thing I could say is the place is very small. Still, don't let that prevent you from visiting and trying the food and coffee. I would say go with the expectations of getting drinks and food to go. Then feel lucky if there is a place to sit. Again, don't let that prevent you from visiting. The more you visit the more they can save up for a bigger location. Overall, AMAZING food and delicious coffee. I'll be going back to try the whole menu! You won't regret your visit here! The place is small but worth the food and drinks! Go give it a try!

Food was delicious and had AMAZING flavor. Restaurant is small and seating is very limited. Their drive thru was super busy at well. You order at the counter and then find a seat. I ordered the El Chavo energy drink which was super good! For food, I ordered the Panchonchis Molcajete. The salsa definitely has a kick to it but everything had great flavor and was seasoned really well. The chicken and steak in the dish were very flavorful. This dish is massive and can easily be spilt between 2 people. I had a whole other meal left over. Their online menu seems to be out of date from the printed one they had in the restaurant. Some things matched up but others didn’t. We decided to test out the churros as well for a sweet treat. We got the strawberry filled ones and they were served in the cutest little churro cart. 10/10 recommend the churros! They do not have any fountain drinks but do offer water from a tap for anyone to access while dining in. Their primary drink menu is the coffees, smoothies, and energy drinks. Will definitely be back to try out another drink and food combo soon!

Love the food and drinks, but service today was very off. Ordered oat milk in my drink and received it with regular milk. Kind server with curly hair tried to get my drink remade and was ignored completely by the other girl working. I went back 20 mins later (after eating much of my food) to check on my drink. It wasn’t even being worked on although there were no other customers or drinks waiting. One girl just refused to look up at me at all as I asked for help to get my drink, while the curly haired girl quickly made it - seeing the other worker refused to even acknowledge I was standing there talking to her. I got my drink in 2 minutes - it was great and so was the food. Then after another 15 mins (about 35 mins into my lunch) had to go back again to counter and ask for the muffin I ordered that never arrived. If I could give the sweet curly haired girl a separate good review I would, but one person there did not want to help anyone - including her own cafe team. Too bad, since I chose the place and highly recommended it to the other 1st timer there who was meeting me. They left unimpressed, and...
