I'll start off by saying this place used to be really good but not lately. I've had a lot of issues the past few times I've been there. I was there and got horrible service. The waitress didn't know what was going on, our margaritas were messed up twice so I had to go up to the bar twice to get it fixed, when we got our food it was not hot after we waited a while. The waitress also never once came to check on us after two different people took our order. We waited an hour for her and I got mad and went to pay at the bar. They asked where we were sitting and who took our order. I pointed her out and said she never checked on us. I told her what we had and asked to speak with some one bu they never came so I just paid and left. I felt jipped. I'd had issues before but that was not cool. I'll go back eventually but it's been a struggle everytime I've been there(between cold food and bad service) I've taken friends there and it hasn't been good. ...
Read moreThis place is the Hidden Gem of Mexican restaurants in Springfield. The outside of the building is incredibly small and I cannot lie when I say that from the road, it does not impress. When you get inside it is incredibly small and very crowded, that is the thing however, it is crowded for a reason.
You are seated quickly with a basket of nachos, some salsa, and some hotter salsa if you ask. The menu is fairly robust but everything I have tried so far from Enchiladas of all varieties, the tacos, a specialty spicy burrito with a literal dare to try it label...It is some of the best authentic mexican I have had in my life ANYWHERE. Everything is fresh everything including the meat itself is perfectly seasoned (which is where I find most of the competition lacking.) and the portions are borderline insane. All of this and pricing is still very reasonable as well.
Bottom line, this is probably my favorite restaurant in...
Read moreDisappointed. Do not believe the reviews. This place is a 3 at best. The rice is totally bland has almost no flavor, reminds me of the rice from the purple burrito which also has basically no flavor. The food was okay at best. The California burrito my fiancée got was larger than we expected and she liked it but it wasn’t amazing. The service was atrocious. Waiters and waitress walked by us numerous times and didn’t refill my clearly empty and at the edge of the table drink in the 30 mins we were at the restaurant I never received a refill and at least 15 mins of that time had no drink at all. They also didn’t refill the chips when we ran out. Overall mediocre food and god awful service. It also was not busy we went on a Thursday night. This was our first and last time...
