Starbucks — Restaurant in Springfield

2/7/21 Updates Added pictures -- the line here is crazy today. Some cars cut in line in front of everyone else. I wish the ap would tell you if the inside is closed and there is a super long wait. Just like yesterday, the toppings weren't on the bot chocolates I ordered. The two Starbucks in Springfield that I normally go to are the two on South Campbell avenue. I'm not sure what's going on with them right now. But it's very frustrating to go to either one of them right now. The inside will be closed and the line will be ridiculously long and they don't put all the toppings on the drinks. I've used up all the gift cards I got for Starbucks for Christmas and I'm done going to these Starbucks. It just seems like there's always some frustrating thing to deal with.

2/6/21 This Starbucks was so nice because I had started a mobile order at the one on Campbell by where I work. But apparently they turned off the ordering on their mobile app because they were going to close when I was in the middle of my order and the location changed on the app without me realizing it because the street name for both locations and starts out with Campbell. Eden, at this location was nice enough to let me come get my order the next day since there was no way I would be able to get to it on the day I ordered it. I really appreciated that! Since I had already paid for it I would have been sad to have missed it. However, I was disappointed because my hot chocolate didn't come with the chocolate swirl toppings that are supposed to go on top of it. I've experienced this at several other Starbucks. If they didn't have the toppings, I wish they would let you know that before you order. instead of just making it and handing it off to you as if it is completed according to the criteria listed on the mobile app when it is actually missing an element of the promised ingredients. I guess it may seem picky to complain about missing the sprinkles on top of the drink. But when you're paying like $5 for 8 oz of hot chocolate, it seems like the drink should include everything listed...

This is the worst option of all of the many Starbucks in Springfield. Minimal parking, no room for the drive thru, and terrible customer service. Not once have I gone there and got a drink that was made correctly. This morning I went and my drink wasn't made right and when I brought it to the attention of the guy at the window he actually sighed before going back to fix my drink. He then proceeded to hand me my drink, but no straw. When I asked for the straw he rolled his eyes and, because of the lackadasical job he did, my drink dripped all over my new jeans, staining them and when I pointed it out he offered nothing to help, causing me to initiate the obtaining of napkins. No thank you, no "I'm sorry". I then called his manager who was as clueless as you can possibly imagine, telling me to come back so they could remake my drink! Seriously?!? How about apologizing and offering a free drink in the future? That would be acceptable, but it wasn't offered, neither was offering to have my jeans dry cleaned. Never in my life have I encountered such incompetence and lack of desire to make things right and retain a customer. Do yourself a monumental favor and avoid this place like the plague. If you're spending seven dollars on a drink it should be exactly what you want and it shouldn't ruin a pair of brand new...

I like Starbucks okay, but I have had issues with this store. They are randomly closed, which I understand that covid has had some impact but it would be at least nice if it showed up on the app that they are closed. The drive thru staff are usually professional, and friendly. Their drinks have been inconsistent for the entire 3 years I've lived in the area. I've gotten the wrong orders, which isn't a huge deal until the dining room isn't open and that leaves you with the option to either deal with what you got or sit in the drive thru line for another 30-45 minutes. Usually I end up dealing with what I got or just tossing it and going somewhere else. Their bakery items and sandwiches are hit or miss as far as whether they have it or not. If you're going to go to starbucks, I would suggest going to the one on S. Campbell instead...
