Main Street Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Springville

We were wanting a good pizza and decided to try Main Street Italian Bistro in Springville. The place had good reviews therefore we were excited to give it a try . Due to Covid, we decided to pick it up. I tried calling in the order ahead but the phone stayed busy. After trying to call 20 plus times ( not exaggerating), I decided to just stop by to order. It was hard to tell where the entrance was and it is a very small place. When I entered, there were four tables occupied with people dining in. There were no workers to be seen and no desk or sign of any sort to tell you what to do. We weren’t sure if we came in the right entrance or not. We stood there awkwardly for several minutes and finally a server came out. I told her we wanted to place a to-go order and she said “ok but you can place orders by calling”. I explained that we had been calling and the phone was staying busy. She apologized and then explained that sometimes the phone gets left off the hook. She took our order ( cheese pizza with bacon and an order of beignets) and told us it would be 30-35 mins. I ran home and dropped my groceries off and came back ( about 40 mins later) The same server came up and told me that our pizza had not been put in the oven yet and that it would be another 10-15 minutes more. While waiting, I went ahead to pay and she gave me the wrong check. I told her this wasn’t ours, finally, we got our check paid. Then we continued waiting and waiting! While waiting ( and watching)there was another young server with really long dark brown hair. I mention her hair because it was in no way pulled up or back. When she was placing food on a young couples table her hair brushed over the breadsticks. Gross! One positive thing I did see was that they are covering the tables with disposable paper after each guest. Finally, an hour after ordering we got our pizza and beignets. I was hoping that after all of that, that the pizza would be good. The pizza was just ok! I would say it was similar to a frozen Walmart deli pizza that you bake at home. It wasn’t bad, just mediocre. The beignets were good! This was our first time and will be our last. From beginning to end, it was just disappointment!

UPDATE... after the original review above, the owner of the business reached out to me and was genuinely concerned about my experience. He sincerely apologized several times and I could tell that he was bothered about my experience. I could tell that he was troubled by it and that he takes great pride in his business. Because of the way he reached out and handled this, I will give this place another try! The owners response made a huge difference and I am thinking that I may have just had bad luck and my experience is not...

Great Food&People!

2Week Update.. I Love our Tiny Town! It's just easier. It's the Simple things. With our Covid Situation continuing it has become Difficult for us all (To say the Least). What I will say is; Our Tiny TigerTowns MainStreet Bistro has.. a Bit more than meets the Average eye. (Even cruising by at just 20-25). Unfortunately, our Town hasn't been able to Work its Hidden Drive in a Continuous Changing Surroundings, into a more Helpful access YET. But, inside this Tucked Away Slice of Bliss, is a Beautiful spot just BigEnough for the heart of its Team.. and a Few other customers. The entire Team inside has Proven Their Courage to improve everyones Life. The Bestro has Seen its FairShare of Missed Productions&DelayedOpportunities, at the SameTime its Learning and Growing Into its Improvments and only by TheStrength of its Team to PushForth and from Dedicated their Attention to Improve OUR Happiness, "Sadly sport, We can't win Em' All", all this, Moved miles in my Soul. I am Soooooo IMPRESSED HowWell it has improved. It takes a LOT for Anyone of us to have a DiffacultDay. I DARE ANYBODY, (YOU) to Go Back "IF YOU" Had a BadExperience. I have recently started attending More&More due to the Improvments. The Owner is a BusyMan as we All are for our Passions. When the Owner comes Forth and asks for ideas and suggestions, then after Reply with confirming my ideas I can't help but be excited. To me, I Feel a Safe sense of God in that Tiny Little Building. I would enjoy explaining a Few of the Blessings that MainStreet Pizza has provided with Not JUST Me, but with MyFamily with Anybody, as we Sat and ate. I am FAR from above Begging if it meant getting anyone to Try again, or a new! As a SmallerSimplistic Feller', I Enjoyed the Simplistically of acquiring a SmallCheese. Yet, I have Attempted NEW Foods in just these past TwoWeeks.. (I'm Not sure of it's the Trustin the Team.. or if I am just easy Peer pressured). There are soo many impressive Dishes! MyDaughter has even grown with this Place. I can only Hope, we can all See past a Little bit of their Diffaculty, offer our Encouragments&Understandings as to allow others to be able to be provided with The ExactSame or even just Similar Experiences to Grow with as well, with Their Family. Again, Covid has effected us All, just in Different ways. MainStreet Pizza, is One of the Few remaining places that TRULY PROVIDES us with an Experience of Improvement. My husband and I decided to go with pasta for our wedding dinner and stumbled across this family owned restaurant to cater for us. We are not from the area, so we saw reviews and took the chance. I am SO happy we did! He also owns ‘Classic Creations Catering,’ but wanted to leave a review here as well. We got salad, chicken Alfredo, lasagna, rolls, and sweet tea. Everyone kept commenting on how yummy the food was. The real crowd pleaser was the Alfredo, but everything was absolutely amazing! Scott was phenomenal to work with. He was very communicative, thorough, and was available if we had any questions/concerns. He checked on us and went through our order multiple times over the process just to make sure he had everything right. He even reached out after the wedding to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, which showed he really cared about our experience. Portions were plentiful, leaving us with yummy leftovers for the following day. You simply cannot beat the quality at the price point. I only met him very briefly, but every interaction with him exceeded my expectations. Thank you for making our wedding reception everything we wanted it to be!
