Brooke is a horrible, rude waitress. She talks very loudly and did not do a good job waiting our table. I like traditional pizza like most Italians and Favazzas for the most part would do a good job making a quality pizza because they are only “supposed to” use mozzarella as the cheese on their pizza. However, they do what a lot of St. Louis does by having an unauthentic stinky Provel cheese in there kitchen. The first half dozen times I came here I never had an issue and always got a quality cheese pie with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan sprinkled on top of it. However the last couple times I have been having issues scarfing it down because there is this gross taste of cheese and weird texture to the pizza. Every time I come here now which is seldom I specify to the waiters and waitresses that your cooks at this restaurant make a lot of mistakes and have been putting the provel cheese that they have for cheese bread on there pizzas (which they aren’t supposed to do according to waiters waitresses and management). I can tell by the taste, smell, and texture there has been provel cheese on my pizza . Brooke arrogantly assured me they are supposed to use mozzarella on the pizza and even though that is true I specified that there is provel on my pizza. She rudely said it was just Parmesan doing that and I told her that Parmesan does not make pizza look or taste like this. So, she goes back into the kitchen then comes out assuring me it was mozzarella in a loud voice and made me look stupid. She could tell I wasn’t eating in but she still charged me, didn’t get a manager, or anything. She received zero tip which is the first time ever I have done that. I will never come back favazzas, I understand some people like provel cheese but you’re not supposed to do that according to your menu but your cooks do it anyway NEVER AGAIN.

John, Why would I lie about this? You do realize it doesn’t take a genius to tell if provel is on a pizza. They clearly did put mozzarella on the pizza but they also sprinkled provel on top of it before baking (no I’m not talking about the Parmesan). I don’t care that your pizza maker claims to put only sliced mozzarella on the pizza. Somehow , before the pizza entered the oven, provel was put onto the pizza. I never have had an issue with this place until the last couple times. I gave you guys another chance because i understand mistakes do happen but it happened again. I was polite and kindly told the waitress about the issue and she was not accommodating whatsoever. My pizza had brown, flaky bubbles and the smell resembled a sharp cheddar/ artificial cheese product. Provel is a semi artificial processed cheese made from provolone, cheddar, and Swiss. The pizza had this liquid-gooey, sticky feel and it tasted exactly like provel because there WAS PROVEL ON IT. Why would I want to lie about what used to be my favorite restaurant because you guys make the best bread I have ever had and I have lived in New York. The only reason I’m being indignant and brutally honest in this review is because I was disrespected by your staff last night and no accommodations were made. You seem to be just as rude considering that you don’t realize the customer is always right because they keep your lights on. And this is especially appalling because I am actually right. I’m not complaining about something I voluntarily order being flavorless or not as good as I expected. I’m complaining because I ordered something and it was prepared incorrectly. I kindly let my waitress know and she was...

Favazza's has always been a Hill staple for our family, but the most recent experience will have us not returning for awhile, unfortunately.

The last 2 times we've made reservations knowing that holiday weekends are crazy for restaurants; there's really no point in making one though we've learned, since each time we've been seated anywhere from 30-45 min past our reservation time and folks just walking in w/o one get seated before us (we only have 3 people). This weekend, we wanted inside since it was so hot and were told that it would be around 20 min just due to everyone wanting to be inside; totally understandable, we just waited at the bar. They finally came for us 35 min later just to find the first hostess never noted we wanted inside so were told we had to wait another 15 min by a very attitude filled second hostess. So, don't waste your time with a reservation because you'll wait longer than larger parties that just walk in. This was a Father's Day dinner and he was so frustrated by this point he didn't even end up eating dinner.

We finally got seated and our waitress was not good at all, very poor service; we've never experienced this here so we were shocked! The food runners and bussers were more attentive to our table than our waitress. It took her 10 min to get there, she didn't read the specials until we asked finally, and between drinks, apps and main courses coming out she came back 2 times to check on us and never came over once the mains finally came out to see if everything came out correctly; they didn't. I wish we had gotten the names of the runners and bussers though because they were great and took care of us all night. The waitress needs a lot more training before being able to work a busy night like this weekend.

We were very disappointed by the food as well; again another first here! The mushrooms had good flavor, but were super oily, the t-ravs are usually phenomenal they were luke warm and honestly tasted frozen or reheated instead of fresh. My mom got the seafood special and for the price it was just okay; her pasta side was flavorless. I ordered ravioli and substituted Alfredo sauce for the meat sauce; it came out in a super thin, oily pesto sauce and was so salty I barely touched it. Again, the waitress NEVER came to check on anything so we were never even offered the opportunity to allow for any type of service recovery on the food.

It takes a lot for us to write reviews, but this was a horrible experience by a place that we usually love so it was worth noting. I hope they take reviews seriously and utilize them as training opportunities for their staff and culinary teams. We won't be back for awhile after this and hope to see some...

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!

I never write reviews, but I feel like this one seemed necessary. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has 4.5 stars by any means. I ordered the Tortellini Alla Panna and I knew off the bat it wasn’t going to be good Italian because the sauce had already separated. To consider yourself authentic Italian is not true by any means. Making a sauce is one of the main things in this cuisine and it failed to do just that.

Additionally my order came out so salty, I felt like a whole entire salt shaker was poured into my dish. I asked everyone around me to try my dish and they all said they would’ve been sick even taking a bite of it. The fact I was told it was because of the ham was baffling to me. You can legit taste the salt grains in each bite due to how much was poured in there.

Additionally the food has no flavor. I feel like they placed canned tomatoes on top of everything, added a small garnish and called it Italian.

Also, I ended up getting a pizza by them as a replacement to my Tortellini Alla Panna and I kid you not, I think they just had pizza dough, added canned marinara on top with cheese and Basil and called it pizza.

Trust me and take your money elsewhere. I think the frozen food section at any grocery store has more authentic Italian than here. It legit all tastes like frozen and canned food mixed together.

I don’t like writing bad reviews because I don’t like ruining the reputation of anyone, but if you're going to claim high standards, you should be held to them as well. I had to warn anyone deciding to go here to go elsewhere to eat. I’d feel bad for someone to drop $20-$30 on a plate to eat frozen/canned food. Tbh I think frozen/canned has more flavor than this. Never had a more bland...
