I have been attending The Journey for a year and I enjoy it. It's a wonderful church that connects with its multicultural neighborhood. They strive to follow what Jesus said are the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.
For the two or so reviewers that wrote that The Journey isn't welcoming to homosexuals: A) I haven't witnessed this personally. B) I encourage you to read what the Bible says about homosexuality.
Our culture promotes the touchy-feely Jesus, but Jesus wasn't afraid to tell people to confront the sin in their lives. None of us are perfect. We are all sinners. (The Journey even prints a similar statement on their bulletins.) A good church will challenge people to confront their sins, even if popular culture accepts that behavior, so that we can live in a way that is...

I have found much encouragement from pastor John and was baptized by Pastor Tim who seemed as happy for me as I was myself. That is not to say I agree with everything said. I do not believe politics nor race discussions belong in the church period. Only people-----only souls. And since I'm elderly, I'm not as appreciative of the music as I might be. Bottom line is I find the Tower Grove Journey Church I attend to be full of loving, caring, welcoming people. PS: Thank you Becky. One of God's angels here on...
