Really annoying how they don't have enough parking spaces, so cars clog up the local neighborhood. They gave me a yard sign, but this really only reserves one space (there are 2 driving adults in my household) and sometimes people still park there and walk to Journey. Forget about having guests over Saturday night or Sunday morning if you live in SW Garden. Edit: Rude church-goers continue to park in front of my house despite having a "No Journey Parking" sign. Really wish they would be more respectful of people who live here and have nowhere else to park.

I love this church. I just made this church my home and I have no complaints, they have a great group of pastors, uplifting band & worship music and a family friendly environment that includes a young children class so parents don't have to worry about the little ones. If you are a young adult they even have a Thursday night service that starts at 7 pm (this service is on the corner to the right of the church if you are facing it head on)

How does one rate a church? Well, the Journey is situated in South St Louis and understands the importance of serving the community in which it is housed. It is a Christian church that really gets it. Not perfect, but neither am I. And that’s the whole point of our faith isn’t it?

I have been attending The Journey for a year and I enjoy it. It's a wonderful church that connects with its multicultural neighborhood. They strive to follow what Jesus said are the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.

For the two or so reviewers that wrote that The Journey isn't welcoming to homosexuals: A) I haven't witnessed this personally. B) I encourage you to read what the Bible says about homosexuality.

Our culture promotes the touchy-feely Jesus, but Jesus wasn't afraid to tell people to confront the sin in their lives. None of us are perfect. We are all sinners. (The Journey even prints a similar statement on their bulletins.) A good church will challenge people to confront their sins, even if popular culture accepts that behavior, so that we can live in a way that is...

I attended Journey for a good while. I found myself straying farther and farther from this church due in part to Pastor Jeremy. Jeremy and Darrin all live/lived in preppy suburbs out west versus truly integrating with the immediately local mixed population.

Rather than spend on the needy, the Journey spends a TON on expansion and new pastor salaries.

Women aren't viewed as equal, which is wrong.

Finally some of the beliefs here are wonky. When you challenge anything, they just say "this is what the bible says". More like your view.. You can translate things based on your own agenda to the detriment of believers.

Also, please always stop asking for more money when the needy don't see 100% of this directly. Likely...

The Tower Grove Journey people were there for me when I needed them the most. I feel I have learned a lot and the pastors, particularly Jeremy and Curtis really deliver the message. I have found much encouragement from pastor John and was baptized by Pastor Tim who seemed as happy for me as I was myself. That is not to say I agree with everything said. I do not believe politics nor race discussions belong in the church period. Only people-----only souls. And since I'm elderly, I'm not as appreciative of the music as I might be. Bottom line is I find the Tower Grove Journey Church I attend to be full of loving, caring, welcoming people. PS: Thank you Becky. One of God's angels here on...
