I am honestly surprised that I am leaving this review. As I travel a lot for work I always ask our salespeople from the area for their recommendations, and Joey B's was in pretty high regard for the St. Louis branch. I would like to start that the staff were very friendly and the place looked immaculate. It has a nice ambience, and I wish I would have chosen to eat there instead of to-go. The food actually came up pretty quick and was still very hot when I finally got checked in at the hotel and had a sec to eat. I ordered the Ravioli Prosciutto which is touted as the "House Specialty" which gave me a good feeling that I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately, that is about as good as it got. What I got... was... well... it had the listed ingredients in modest portions at least. I am not sure if it was the time, as I ordered at 8pm when they close at 9, but I ordered online so that I could take it back to the hotel in order to rest up a bit after being on the road all day. As it was to-go I do not feel right right in talking about the look of the dish, let alone adding a picture (you trying being photogenic when boxed, bagged, and bounced around from restaurant to table, gives me fifth grade picture day trauma all over again). On the other hand the taste and texture are fair game. The ravioli was freezer burnt, as though it had been pulled from the deepest bowels of the lowest circle of freezer hell and thrown into a boiling pot bent on sublimating the meat inside. The noodles were chewy and the meat on the inside was chalky and bland. I had expected a "rich creamy sauce" but had a white broth the consistency of egg drop soup (nothing wrong with egg drop soup, just needed something that is universally consistent) that did not adhere to anything in the dish outside of the spoon. If I had overthickened a sauce, or had some from "some Sundays special" tucked away somewhere, and added a quart or two of water before nuking that sucker to a semblance of "sauce" edibility, it still wouldn't compare to garden hose spiced water that was used in the dish. I feel that the cook had a sense of righteous piety and indignation with me where the score must be settled with this poor Ravioli Prosciutto, and my taste buds were the collateral damage. As it is, I will take care not to anger the chefs with orders an hour before close and will try something different, sometime not to be disclosed. Hopefully the second this was a once off slip of the ladle for my taste buds sake and the credibility of those who claim that the best food is...
Read moreGreat informal dining with huge burgers, wonderful pizzas and the onion rings are ridiculous! In a good way! Salads are lovely especially the spinach chicken with craisins, pecans and Bleu cheese. Yummy turkey wraps, good iced tea and interesting looking tortilla bean soup. My only minor complaint was that the waitress didn't know the difference between breading and batter coating on the fried chicken so I missed out on some really scrumptious BATTER COATED fried chicken. Only served Sunday, I think, and Tuesday. Should be every day! Restroom situation unacceptable sanitary-wise, and not handicap satisfactory. Parking situation a bit maddening and also poorly set up for adequate handicap needs. It's a sports bar and grill basically with all the requisite annoying TV screens everywhere. Fortunately, the food is abundant, huge servings and very tasty. EDIT -- 7/5/18--Chicken fried steak is one of my all-time favorites. Their menu says it comes with mashed potatoes, green beans and country gravy. Great. My daughter and I ordered it only to discover that their idea of country gravy was not just white, cream gravy, but breakfast gravy with SAUSAGE in it. Slathered on the potatoes and steak. It was ungodly awful. We couldn't escape it or scrape it away. Everything was permeated with the flavor of breakfast sausage. Totally ruined the entire meal for us. Not every cutesy idea is a smart one. Be forewarned. Also, the onion ring coating is no longer crispy. It's getting too thick and flabbery. The Marsala sauce on the mushroom ravioli was flavorless. Come on folks, pay attention! Quality...

Both of us out of beverages. Lunch served. My granddaughter was correct, mine was not what I ordered. We had to ask for bread & Parmesan cheese. I asked her what mine was she said what you ordered… I said it wasn’t. I have had the dish here before. She walked away. Didn’t check back with us, nor asked if we wanted desert. Dropped the check off. I review the receipt. Showed “pasta” for mine & dinner price. I asked regarding this. She said. It was correct. At this point I wasn’t going to argue. Food was fabulous as always. The service was the worst I have had. The server was not slammed, the dinning room was not full, there were several wait...
