RJ's American Grill — Restaurant in St. Cloud

The restaurant was not even at 1/4 of its capacity if that when we showed up. We notified the restaurant multiple times prior to arrival that we would be having a larger party of 10+ people and were assured that there would be no issue with seating us. Unfortunately this restaurant does not allow reservations to be made which is mind boggling for a place that is considered more ritzy and low key. There were multiple open spots available upon arrival but were given the run around as to why our party "couldn't" be seated when we questioned why we couldnt be seated right away due to the amount of open tables that could simply be pushed together. Due to the fact that it was 6pm when our party arrived and the restaurant closing at 8pm we were given the treatment of "waiting" to try and force us to leave so they didn't have to serve us as we were essentially the only party yet to receive service however they realized we weren't going to just "leave" due to their laziness. After waiting 55 minutes and watching about 5 other smaller parties of 2-4 people come and be seated before us and other larger groups leave with their tables being cleared and able to fit our party without issue.... we were finally seated in a different spot completely separated by two tables when the other tables could have sat our entire group as previously mentioned. Our wait staff was nice but you can definitely tell the head of house staff/management at this restaurant has a definitive lack of customer service that needs to be addressed. Considering the fact that this restaurant is open Monday- Friday from 11am-8pm you can tell that the management has problems when you can't stay open past 8pm and especially on weekends when that is the best time to get business.

I won't be back and definitely don't recommend this place to anyone... not worth your time or money. The food was sub par. You can get better food at other establishments nearby with far better service... not to mention they won't give you attitude when you simply ask a question regarding wait times...

The portion size of food to cost ratio is astronomical. As you see one small thin slice of bread and a bowl of Cajun chicken pasta.

The host at front door greeted me like usual smiled and gave me the menu then walked away, left me standing there at the front door. So l walked to bar and the bartender smiled and walked off. 10 minutes later the host returned after talking to locals and sucking up to them for a tip. She asked if I had been helped, I replied, no the bartender kept walking away. So, the host she took my order and said it’ll be $56.82 I shook my head and said for Cajun chicken pasta and wontons? She replied you added shrimp. I told her politely; Ok, can you remove the shrimp and wontons spending that much for a meal isn’t worth it. She walked off to the kitchen and came back and said she had to tell the cooks in back not to make to shrimp or wontons. After that little drama, I paid her $32.36 for Cajun chicken pasta. She walked away once again and never returned and told the bartender to bring me my Togo food. I don’t understand this place, I should’ve never paid and just walked out due to how I was treated. Completely unacceptable from a consumer that’s paying your establishment money you treated me like trash, no water, no drinks, nothing… The Host and Bartender where acting like I was bothering them just to being in building.

Not to mention the restaurant was extremely dead. It was just the cook, bartender, host and myself. Overall I won’t be back. You can get better cheaper food elsewhere save your money definitely don’t go here if you’re a truck driver.

This place looked very inviting, the menu was intriguing, but my review is due to no experience. We were out for evening ride (motorcycle) we picked a random place to try. We arrived about 7 and as we approached the door it said they close at 8. We proceeded inside and looked around, didn't look too busy and we could provide our order timely to give the cooks time and ability to shut down on time. As we walked in the host had her back turned to the door and doing something on the computer. She didn't acknowledge that we had walked in. We were talking about the ride so we weren't quiet. When she was done doing what she was doing then she turned around, and said "oh 2, what's your name? There's at least a 20-minute wait". As we looked around, we noticed no one sitting at the bar, there were a bunch of booths that were empty, we were like um okay. She then says there's a bench there or you can sit at the bar and get a drink. We decided to go wait outside. As we watching other people walk in and not come back out, we decided that we weren't going to wait any longer. It's unfortunately since the reviews are very promising but our experience is lack of experience. We didn't even get the opportunity and we honestly feel that we were either under dressed, didn't fit the attire or she plainly was trying to not seat any more people due to the time of night, which contradicts the fact that other people arrived after us.
