A very aggravating experience. Ordered loaded bloody Marys and asked for water while they were being prepared. I had to go to the bar and ask for water 20 minutes after ordering. Loaded bloody Marys didn't arrive to the table for 35 minutes and the chicken wings and onion rings in the drink were cold. We didn't say anything about that. We ordered for food 2 burgers. It took 55 minutes to receive our food. Only to find that everything on both orders were cold. Waitress was accommodating and had the food remade but .mind you it already took 55 minutes the first time to get the food. So waited another 20 minutes to get the food back. We missed the fireworks because of the time it took to remedy the situation. We are from out of town and decided to take a mini vacation for the day. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local convenience store employee. My take. Too many young people run the restaurant. There was no urgency and we were not checked on during our stay. This goes straight to the owner. It's a bit daunting that you have a disclaimer right on the front of your menu to call you about any service complaints. We have plenty of complaints. The food was amazing when it was corrected. The waitress was nice to accommodate our concerns. But when it comes down to it. The cold food was on her. The restaurant was not at all busy. Unless there's major changes we won't recommend or be back again. The food was delicious. But the servers....eh. And another thing. $64 plus tip just makes someone mad when they have a...
Read moreEver wanted to go to a Bar/Grill that reminds you of Cheers? This is the spot. The staff are all outstanding, friendly, fast and there at your beckon call, although you usually don't have to call them, they are always right there.
The food (primarily the burgers) are mouthwatering and the choices are plenty and you will NOT walk away hungry, but in most cases with a "doggie bag" to enjoy a little later. All burgers are cooked to a mouthwatering medium - medium rare without exception so you will never get that hard on the edges, dry in the middle burger you get at your neighbors cookout.
They also have banquet rooms available with VERY reasonable catering charge. The main banquet hall is off to the side of the main bar and closed off by beautiful french doors with curtains making it as private as you would like it. Not to mention the location is just right as to cancel out any loud bar noise.
Prices are in the "normal" range with burgers running about $9.00 on the average. Of course they offer a full range of appetizers, complete meals with mashed patatoes etc. As well as a beverage menu ranging from nicely priced wines to a full line of craft beers as well as your normal everyday "slam em down, its been a long day" regular beer choices.
If you find yourself at the top of the hill in St. Croix Falls, Wi on Hwy 8 just across from WalMart and you want the best bang for your buck, Logger's is the place to go. Did I mention, its also family friendly and they not only offer a childrens menu, they have days when...
Read moreSaturday February 2nd. 1:30pm. We were in St. Croix Falls for a basketball tournament and heard Loggers was a great place to relax and have great food. Upon arrival the place is decorated with stuffed deer, bear skins on the walls and mounted fish gasping for breath. We were seated and our friendly waitress let us know the soup of the day. We ordered the Cheese Curds, which were fried perfectly but the dip came in a prepackaged disposable Dixie cup. I thought this was unusual. The entrees we ordered were the Salmon Sandwich, Reuben and the Olive and Swiss burger. All came with fries, which again, were fried perfectly and served hot; however, the entrees left me questioning the food. My salmon smelled fishy and had a fishy aftertaste. I have enough seafood experience to know I should not eat this. The Reuben also came with the sauce in a prepacked disposable cup. The burger was fine. At the end of the meal my conclusion is the food (we had) is frozen and warmed or fried as ordered. This is fine; however, the prices are a bit high for this type of food. Microwavable. Why are the sauces prepackaged? I wouldn't go back unless it was just for beer and curds. The staff was great but overall the...
