Panda King — Restaurant in St. Croix Falls

I used to be a big fan of Panda King but the last two times I ordered from them I can say I was very disappointed. Order on New Year's Eve, I got two house specials of general tso's chicken both upgraded with fried rice chicken and asked for hot. Also got 2 egg rolls a side of cream cheese wontons all for 56$ for two people. First only one order came with the fried chicken upgraded, neither order had any heat whatsoever and the meals looked basically as if they were just prepackaged frozen meals that they threw in a microwave and called it good. My order had 3 small pieces of broccoli which was underwhelming for a good general tso's and for the price paid vs the quality of food I could have gone to Walmart and grabbed some frozen Chinese food for a lot less and had basically the same meal. I don't know if they have lost their passion to cook but I can't recommend them anymore until things change. I feel corners have been cut and the product is a far cry from what it once was. Update: Gave Panda King another try 9 months since this last review and sadly, I got sick from eating there and it really saddens me to have to say they officially have lost a customer...

Ordered the general tsos chicken lunch special right before the lunch special ended. They said ok about 10 minutes. I called from the parking lot to go. Went in. Food was already ready which was weird. Got out to my vehicle to eat and it was the soggiest chicken I've ever had. I know it's best fresh when dining in. But I can tell they gave me leftovers that had been sitting from another person's lunch specials. It wasn't even hot . I can tell when food was freshly fried. I wanted to go back in to complain but I was on my lunch break and didn't have time. Ended up going to McDonald's for a quick burger and chicken sandwich after eating 2 bites of the general tsos chicken. Worst I've ever had. The service is horrible here. I called an made an order and I thought it was a little expensive… I double checked to make sure that she had done my order correct and she said she did and hung up very rudely without fully confirming. I had to drive 20 minutes up there to pick up my order just to find out that she HAD taken my order wrong. And put extra food on there that I didn’t ask for. I had to pay for it. And when I noticed on the receipt and called back to ask for a refund. She then told me that she gave me what I asked for and tried to explain to me why my order was $20 more than it was supposed to be, after there was no excuse. I called and double checked.
