Finally went to the cafe after 20 years of driving past it. Should have gone sooner as the food and service was excellent and cost was also goodish. We spent over an hour there starting at 10:00 a.m. and there were still tables open no waiting on Sunday. No senior discounts.
Ordered Taco omelets and French toast and lemonade which alone itself was 2. 75 which is very extreme for sugar water that's the one drawback. French toast was very very light and were well made with hash browns. The hash browns did not have much grease. Taco omelette had way too much meat that probably drove up the price. It should accent the eggs not overwhelm the eggs. Still like the French toast so overall I love the meal.
Another ordered coffee which they did not charge for. Everyone cleaned their plates. The food at your typical Perkins is heavy and your stomach but this place is a dream to eat at. The caramel and apples on top of the French toast look very good will have to order that next.
The staff restaurant everywhere and helping out where they can. Waitress gave extra napkins without asking for them which is unheard of. That means they care for their their clientele.
Total bill for three people was 44 dollars. They do close at 1:00p. If you don't want to cook come here definitely instead of DQ or McD's...
Read moreAte there with friends on New Years for breakfast. Service was good but the omelet was supposed to be 4 eggs with 6 toppings. The toppings were so no final that I couldn't distinguish anything but the o ions that was so small it was close to being minced. The rest...bacon, mushrooms, green pepper were not recognizable. I questioned the egg portion because the total omelet was very small. It looked like a 2 egg omelet. I was told it was a new cook and the portion was correct...they have just over portioned in the past. So how is it that the portions can be skewed? They use liquid eggs. I know if they had cracked 4 eggs it would have been more than I could have eaten...was looking forward to taking some home. But instead I didn't get full. If this is the new portions because they can't crack eggs them I don't want to go back. Wayne's is my choice...
Read moreLocal cafe with good food and friendly staff. Started the day off here for a group ride and they definitely accommodated us. Our server was "ok" at best, after bringing waters she never really asked if we wanted anything else to drink, she started clearing Xtra cups and menus from the table even though we told her we had more people coming, and our biggest (small) issue was that they brought our checks literally like 5 minutes after serving us our meals. Who does that???? The food was tasteful, even though my english muffin for my eggs benedict wasn't toasted long enough.., thus became a bit soggy. All in all, it's a good place to eat with good food. Highly recommend if you are...
