Basel's Market — Restaurant in St. Francisville

That sandwich was so good. The sauce & meat(Prosciutto & ham) had excellent flavor. The bread toasted to perfection. They accidentally didn't cook enough fries for my order, one of the workers had said & offered me a free cookie to compensate so I wouldn't have to wait. To be fair, I would've been OK with the fries. Yes it was on the smaller side but, being a first time costumer, I wouldn't have known. The simple fact they owned up about it, before my meal was given, is SUPERB service....

Basel’s is truly an original up and coming spot for breakfast and lunch in Baton Rouge. The atmosphere is fantastic with music playing inside the market and on the porch. Went with my sister today....love the place! Great music. Sat by the fireplace. They need to remove the bell that rings continuously everytime somebody goes in & out....so annoying 😒 we ordered courtyard salads. Big disappointment, look more like a side salad!
