Chinatown — Restaurant in St. Gabriel

I got the triple delight and chicken fried rice. It was terrible. Not a grain of salt in either dishes. I've never had Chinese food this bad. My husband got beef and broccoli w/ combo fried rice. His rice was at least fried rice mine came straight from the rice cooker. And it was $50! A good amount of food but I couldn't eat mine it was so bad. The chicken was White! Right out the microwave. Horrible!! To the owner our order was on 5/21/25 around 5-6 pm. Look it up. And don't come back with that "I hope you find a restaurant to your liking" like your other replys. We were in BR over night. Passing through. You gonna charge people that much you could easily hire someone to check the quality of your food before you send it out. I trusted you to give me good quality food for my $ and you failed that's on you not the people trying to eat it. Fix it. People don't have money to throw away. Went in with my 11 & 2 yr old, 1st time & last. Was not very friendly at all, seemed like he was getting irritated as we decided on a choice. Had a hard time hearing, a girl playing Piano, one boy had IPad next to me with a game playing then he started shaking bad yelling, scared me & my 11yr old & noone came to see if he was ok. It was very hot in there also. Took a while for the food then it was boxed up when we had got a table n condiments ready. Could not even eat as it was extremely way to hot. Egg drop soup was very bland not like any Ive had before. Called to talk about it and couldnt understand me nor I him. The food here is excellent -- and it's all freshly prepared when you order. The con of that fact is that you just have to wait for good things. This is literally a mom-and-pop operation. The family has three children who are often in the restaurant. If freshly prepared, great tasting, authentic Chinese food isn't your thing, don't eat here. If you'd prefer something more "commercial," eat at one of the fast-food style Chinese places cranking out tons of similarly-flavored muck.
