T.J. Maxx — Local services in Baton Rouge

Usually I cannot stay out of this store. You can find some awesome bargains here. However...my last visit was markedly less that pleasant. All of that due to one employee who was the epitome of rudeness. She was the attendant at the dressing room. She complained about that "not even her job" but got "stuck" because someone called in sick. Okay...guess what...wherever your supervisor places you is YOUR JOB, and you are to do it to the best of your ability. She proceeded to let me know that I had too many items to bring at once. Okay....several items were for my granddaughter to try on. She was standing next to me. Neither of us exceeded the limit of items. I was just holding them all. With that said, the woman gave one of those deep sighs and a very distinct eye roll. Really? We tried on our items and left the dressing room. On my way to the checkout line I saw another really cute top for my granddaughter to try on. I stayed in line and told her to run and try it on. She returned soon enough.... she had tears in her eyes. The rude woman was ugly to her and embarrassed her in front of the other people at the dressing room. Another customer actually came over to me and asked if my granddaughter was okay. She witnessed the exchange between the two and said that the woman was out of line. Beware! Don’t bother shopping here because they do nothing to stop shop lifting! I went last night and as I was walking into the store the alarms were going off and several African American young people had young children clothes with hangers still attached in their arms and the other one had high dollar purses and they were literally running out the door with the merchandise and no one did anything! They almost ran me over! I screamed no one is calling the police? They were like no it happens all the time? What? I think the people that work there are in on it! This is totally ridiculous! The police need to be there 24/7! This is not California! I bet if you had someone armed at the door shooting nobody would be running out with anything! Just stupid! Corporate needs to...

I left my phone on the check out counter there and when I got to my car I realized I left my phone in the store. Of course when I got back in there it was gone. The sweet lady at the register let me use the store phone and magically the phone appeared on the counter. I’m pretty sure a customer, who was being checked out, returned my phone putting it back on the counter.
