During our recent visit to Brasswood Estate in Napa Valley, we indulged in a delightful wine tasting followed by a memorable lunch at their Brasserie. The estate offers a state-of-the-art winery with 17,000 square feet of caves and multiple tasting rooms, providing a comprehensive wine experience. After sampling a selection of their elegant, estate-grown wines, we proceeded to Brasswood Bar + Kitchen for lunch. Opting to sit outside by their charming pizza oven and fountain, we found the patio to be a serene and inviting setting, perfect for a leisurely meal. The ambiance was enhanced by the picturesque surroundings and the gentle sounds of the fountain, making it an ideal spot to relax and savor the afternoon. The menu at Brasswood Bar + Kitchen is a testament to Napa Valley’s rich culinary heritage, featuring comfort food inspired by local bounty. We were particularly impressed with the New York Strip, served with grilled broccolini, potato gratin, carrot, mushroom, and red wine jus, topped with truffle butter—a dish that was both flavorful and satisfying. For those interested in visiting, Brasswood Bar + Kitchen operates daily from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm. Reservations can be made through RESY or by calling (707) 302-5101. The Brasswood Cellars Tasting Room is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with walk-ins accepted upon availability, though reservations are recommended. In addition to the restaurant and tasting rooms, the estate features a bakery offering artisan baked goods, picnic provisions, and craft cocktails, as well as a boutique for shopping. The combination of exceptional wines, delectable cuisine, and a tranquil atmosphere makes Brasswood Estate a must-visit destination in Napa Valley.

Brasswood: A Napa Valley Gem Where You're Family Nestled in the heart of the stunning Napa Valley, Brasswood Restaurant in St. Helena is more than just a place to eat – it's an experience. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff, a perfectly synchronized team, works seamlessly together, making you feel less like a patron and more like a cherished member of their extended family. The restaurant itself exudes eclectic charm, with a beautiful bar area perfect for pre-dinner drinks and inviting outdoor seating that allows you to soak in the breathtaking Napa Valley scenery. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends, Brasswood provides the ideal setting. And then there's the food. "Above and beyond" barely scratches the surface. The culinary artistry on display is truly remarkable. But if there's one dish that demands your attention, it's the mozzarella bread. Prepare to be transported. The warm, perfectly baked bread, paired with creamy, homemade mozzarella, and drizzled with fragrant olive oil and rosemary is nothing short of divine. It's an absolute must-try – a culinary masterpiece that will leave you craving more. Brasswood is a testament to the power of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're seeking an unforgettable Napa Valley dining experience, look no further. Brasswood is where you'll find it.

My friend and I decided to try this place for dinner because we got a recommendation on a wine tour and I will say it was not worth the distance to try. This place is in St. Helena and we stayed in Napa so almost a 40 minute lyft drive. But the most popular thing people refer to is the cheese pull that's placed on bread and yes the presentation and how they come to you table to setup in front of you is really nice, but the taste of the cheese and bread I was not impressed at all. I also ordered the fritti and it lacked flavor the batter was very flavorless I would not recommend it had fried lemon, calamari, olives and shrimp. For my entree I had the scallops and the scallops actually tasted good, but the risotto was a no go for me. My friend had the chicken picatta and she said it was pretty good except for asparagus it was very overcooked. Now our drinks my friend had the cucumber drink and she said it was super strong and very nasty tasting like bitter. I had the perfect storm as my first choice and it was a very spicy drink which I did not know so I had to send it back immediately. The waiter suggested the mai Tai and it was actually very tasty so I would recommend that drink. Just know it is very sweet. I think the service here is good, but the food is a no go for me. I would not recommend this place nor would I try it again. I gave it 2 stars because of my Mai Tai drink, the look of the place and the waiter.

Brasswood is one of those rare places that manages to feel both refined and inviting--an elevated wine country dining experience that doesn't take itself too seriously. Nestled in St. Helena, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a bit of a local secret. Let's start with the best-kept secret on the menu: the fresh house-made mozzarella. It's not listed, but trust me--ask for it. It's an off-menu gem that's become legendary for a reason. Creamy, indulgent, and absolutely addictive, it's easily one of the best things I've had at any restaurant in the area. Brasswood also shines when it comes to appetizers. The arancini--crispy, golden risotto balls--are perfectly paired with a vibrant pesto or duck bolognese, and the Frito Misto is a crispy medley of fried cauliflower, calamari, and shrimp that hits all the right notes. If you're looking for something hearty to start, the French onion soup and wedge salad both deliver classic comfort with just the right amount of flair. Speaking of pasta--Brasswood serves some of the best in the valley. The duck Bolognese is rich, soulful, and deeply satisfying, while the short rib sugo is slow-cooked perfection over tender fresh noodles. For mains, the pork chop is juicy and beautifully cooked, and the risotto with duck leg confit is as decadent and flavorful as it sounds. And yes--they make excellent pizza too, with a crust that walks the line between chewy and crisp just right.

On the drinks side, the cocktails are creative and well-crafted. But what really shines is their wine list, especially the bottles produced by Brasswood themselves. Their in-house wines pair seamlessly with the menu and show off the region's character. Now, the drawbacks. Unfortunately, the service can be inconsistent. I've had meals where everything was seamless, and others where orders were missed, pacing was off, or the attentiveness just wasn't there. It's not enough to ruin the meal, but it's noticeable--especially at this price point and in this part of Wine Country. And while I rarely mention restrooms in reviews, it's hard to ignore the persistent odor in Brasswood's restrooms. It's been an issue for a while now, and frankly, it detracts from the otherwise polished atmosphere. For a restaurant of this caliber, it's something that really needs attention. In the end, Brasswood still delivers a fantastic dining experience, particularly for its food and wine. But a bit more consistency in service and attention to the details--especially basic facilities--would go a long way in elevating the experience from great to...
