Trinchero Napa Valley — Attraction in Napa Valley AVA

We arrived too late for the tasting - which was understandable (around 4:30 pm) and we’re graciously greeted for a glass of wine! The wine is incredible and atmosphere unparalleled. Interior design is something to revel in for hours, if time allows. However, rating low because of the less than gracious hospitality. At 5pm sharp we were reminded to vacate the premises as it was closing time. We expressed our interest to purchase the BRV and informed multiple employees to set a bottle aside. Employees reassured us transactions post 5pm were easy given ipad/square transactions, so we took an extra couple of minutes to finish a glass of wine. Ultimately, unceremoniously ushered off the vineyard with no explanation as to why we couldn’t purchase the wine we wanted to. Beautiful winery owned by the Sutter Wine family. I believe this is their more upscale wines that you are tasting here. We enjoyed nice reds along with a beautiful cheese plate and dried fruit that was more than generous. Our first visit here, as a local friend is a member of this winery. Melissa took excellent care of us and we wound up leaving with a bottle of white wine. Would have bought more but it was not in the budget to do so, but be sure and stop by here. You won't regret it! Melissa even set us up for a discounted tasting when she found out we were heading to Napa Cellars afterward, since they are also under the Sutter Wine umbrella. Classy...

Thank you to Trinchero and our host Melissa for a wonderful experience. They were able to accommodate our larger group WITH ADVANCE NOTICE and PLANNING, not just a walk-in. We were able to meet the winemaker, Landon, and try their Sauvignon Blanc in different stages of the winemaking process. That is an experience I won't forget.

Melissa is fantastic! She was so professional and knowledgeable. She helped our novice group of wine tasters really understand how to taste wine and what we were tasting. She did this in a very approachable and fun way!
