Last Sunday my wife and I were enjoying a day of football. We had bought food to enjoy while the game was being watched, but an ad came on for the specialty pizzas from Dominos and we decided to get something extra to enjoy. I logged in to my Dominos account and ordered them. I left the page open so I could watch the tracker and have an idea of when it was coming. According to the tracker, my pizza was prepped, baked, and the last thing I saw was that it was being checked for quality before delivery. At that point I stayed near the window so I could see the driver leave the pizzas in the chair I left out.
After some time I went back to look at the tracker, and it still said that the pizza was being quality checked. I thought maybe the page was frozen so I refreshed it and the tracker disappeared completely. I didn't think anything of it at the time, so I waited some more.
After some more time, I looked at my phone and saw a new voicemail. The transcript showed it was from Dominos saying that the order was voided, so I immediately called and asked what was happening. The employee who answered said that they were "really slammed" and unable to keep up with the orders. When I asked if this meant I wouldn't be getting it, he said that I would not.
The time between my order and getting the voicemail was 15 minutes. Also, when I finally listened to the actual voicemail, the employee didn't hang up and I could hear them in the background talking about voiding more orders. They didn't sound busy at all.
Obviously the whole "tracker" thing is complete BS, unless they opted to throw away the pizzas they made for me rather than deliver them.
The store in question is a franchise, so my calls to the Corporate office fall on deaf ears. The franchise itself has no interest in anything other than offering conflicting accounts of what happened. (case...

Once they claimed they brought my order and nobody was home and that nobody answered the call when I was in the same room as my front door and had my phone I ordered online with in my hand. When I called to ask where the order was manager was very passive aggresive as she asked if I am able to answer my door. They asked if I still wanted the order and I said yes, it took another 45 minutes and was very cold.
The other main time was an online order never being made and nobody answered the calls at the store to or made any attempt to notify me they couldn't make my order. Stuff happens and I understand but it's not difficult to communicate to customers something has happened. Filed a complaint with corporate and received a reply the next day with a coupon as a medium Pizza for my trouble. Also took 5 days to release the money I paid for my order. Funny how power outages didn't affect their ability to accept money instantly but can't release it for 5 days. If you're living paycheck to paycheck like half of Americans be wary of ordering online.
The interactions with the drivers have been great once, and mostly fine the other times. I always tip at least $5 and up to 50% if the service is great or it's raining. I haven't placed a carry-out order so can't comment on that. Besides the time mentioned above one other order arrived cold and there was seemingly no reason for it.
This is the worst review I've ever left for a company. I'm very easy to please but this location has went above and beyond in offering terrible service. I placed an order around 7:30pm for delivery they never updated the tracker to show where my food was at in the process so when the driver arrived it stated my food was still cooking after 45 mins of waiting. They have contactless delivery so the driver knocked and left immediately! After retrieving my food I realized my 8pc wing wasnt there. Not upset I called the location waited on hold for 10 minutes before I could tell them what happened. I woman answered placed me back on hold for another 10 min and returned to say that someone will bring my wings! I didnt get a chance to tell her what order it was or whom I was or even where to take the order so I assume she knew they’ve messed up! I then waited another hour and my wings never arrived! I called back and they stated can you just come get them and a manger will take care of your delivery fee since you’ve had to go through this! I arrive at the location now very frustrated because its been 1 hour and 30 minutes now! I wait there just for them to throw my wongs at me and try to get me to hurry amd leave! I stated I was told to come here to be accommodated for having to pick this up! I waited another 20 minutes because the manager yelled from the back that she is just going to have to wait! Well I waited just for him to tell me he cannot accommodate me but here go my wings! I was very upset at this point! Worst service worst experience just trying to order dinner and I didnt want to leave home due to being sick and not wanting spread anything!
