We stopped by on a Monday for lunch. We were greeted and were seated quickly. The menu is very large and extensive but this is where the good experience stopped. The waiter that took our order had no idea what he was doing but I thought maybe he was new. We waited for 25 minutes before our food arrived. One of the orders was wrong but we didn’t say anything because we were on a hurry after waiting so long for our food. The food was edible but I wouldn’t say it was good. Our entire party was underwhelmed with the food. We finished our meal and waited, and waited, and waited some more for our bill. Being short on time, I got up from our table to locate the waiter. I had to go all the way to the kitchen to find someone and discovered that the waiter was also the cook! We finally got our check after waiting 15 minutes. I have to say that this is the first time that I did not tip on my meal and that’s saying a lot since I’ve tipped on some pretty lousy service in the past. This is the worst service that I have ever had in a restaurant in my entire life! I’d go to Taco Bell for Mexican food before stepping foot in this place again! That is how bad my...
Read moreAs I sat watching one too many soccer games with my friends after work, my evening took an unexpected turn when my dinner companion and roommate texted me about a new tex-mex joint we had to try. Before I knew it, she was outside on a turquoise moped, ready to whisk me away to Los Arcos.
We arrived at this hidden gem of a restaurant and were greeted by a charming hostess. The menu was overwhelming with options, but we finally settled on our choices - enchiladas verdes for her and el pollo loco for me. The food was delicious, the portions were massive, and the cheese sauce was to die for.
After stuffing ourselves silly, we hopped back on the moped, full and content, thinking about our next culinary adventure. Los Arcos turned out to be a fantastic Mexican spot in south city with a wide variety of choices, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. Parking was a breeze, and the overall experience was nothing short of wonderful. Cheers to many more tex-mex...
Read moreThis is my 2nd time visiting Los Arcos. 1st time I visited during lunch hours, and the 2nd time, it was for dinner. During dinner, it sounded like their a fiesta with music playing in the background. I've met one of the owners, and she is very sweet. Both visits, she came to my table and interacted with me. I've learned that It is a family type owned restaurant. They work together very well together. To me, it seems very authentic. Theirin-housee margarita 🍹 is very strong, so be prepared, lol. It will get you there quickly! The molcajete is very good but I have to try it again because I didn't eat it corrected. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with Mexican style theme designs, oversized booths, and tables.
Their street corn is cheft kissed! It was one of the best I've ever had! The shrimp and steak dinner was very flavorful, a little too chewy for my preference, but it did not lack...
