salon L — Local services in St. Louis

I needed a root touch up, so I called Salon L as Melinda cut my hair a couple years ago. I hadn't been back since. I contacted the salon and Jill was able to get me in for the root touch up at 11 am Dec 10, 2022. I received at tex at 5:30 am the morning of the 10, stating she was sick and couldn't do my hair. She had never done my hair before, BTW. I proceeded to call back early the next week and Lori, the owner got me in for my root touch up at 1:30 Thursday December 15th. I told her I didn't want a shampoo and blow-dry. She did my roots only, and I left with wer hair and dark stains around my face. View Studio L photo's and you will see the results of a 75.00 root touch up only, no blow dry or style. Plus a 20% tip. The total for the regrowth color cost me 90.00. This is an unacceptable price for the service and the bad root color job I received. I was upset, so I called and nothing was done to offer to satisfy me and make this situation right. This is ludicrous to say the least for a little salon on hampton and fyler and if you can afford 90.00 for a root touch up at Salon L more power to you. I used Salon L (Jill and Lori) for my wedding day and WOW! I have nothing by the utmost praise for them! They travelled to my venue to do my hair as well as my entire bridal party’s hair. Not only did they create amazing looks to fit each girl, but they did so efficiently and made us all have so much fun! From updos to braids to formal pony’s to half up/ half down, they made every girl look and feel incredible! And all of these looks lasted the entire day, even in hot and humid 90 degree St. Louis weather. My bridal style was a classic chignon and Jill absolutely perfected it!!! She went above and beyond with my bridal trial and then absolutely nailed the look on my wedding day. Her attention to detail is unparalleled and it’s so obvious she’s passionate about her work. I had been interested in trying this salon when I saw a client leave with a gorgeous haircut! I had moved to the neighborhood and was still checking out local businesses to support. Having had 2 back to back botched haircuts and poor client service from my stylist of many years and no luck in trying equally expensive shops , I called Salon L to get a consultation. From that first call everything went fantastic!!!! Courteous, friendly,skilled, and professional! When I went in for my scheduled appointment, every stylist was busy, quiet and FOCUSED on their clients!!!
