Omg there is soo much i wanted to say, first off, I would love to support black owned, but because i a person of color, but maybe 99% of the time, I have bad experience, but my son and his girlfriend went down there, showed me pictures of their food, and it look soo good, my son do Not eat fish, he insisted on me getting some, it was 4 of us, we spent a lil over $200 and got to try a variety of food plus they ran out to our car an let us try some extra’s smothered potatoes onions onion taste like what my dad use to make when I was a kid, honey hot chicken tenders, chicken wings, honey hot cat fish fila Omg Never taste Anything Like that, those scrimp were huge, Omg and the tripe, was soo crispy, Nothing was salty, everything was perfect, No high blood pressure here!! And the best African customers service I have ever ever met in STL jn the food business most of them be having attitude some how I wonder why and, the guy at the check out counter was very nice, I pray that the continue to stay this way, people do Not realize some people drive very far to get good food, we came from Kirkwood, it’s an 35 minute so we want good food and good service, i sent my friend there from KC so their coming really far!! I have been here plenty of times food always good but this last time was not a good experience. I spent $28 and I am not happy about my food. I ordered a #1, 1 side pc of fish , and an order of onion rings. Well my fish and shrimp was crispy hot and DELICIOUS.. My chicken and fries were not. When I ordered my food I seen a bucket/container of chicken and fries already cooked but I didn’t think nothing of it. So with that being said my 10-15 min wait was for my fish , shrimp , onion rings because I now believe I was given some already cooked fries and chicken that had been sitting. So hot sweet sauce that I requested were poured on that chicken that was sitting and not freshly fried upon ordering which made my chicken soft not crispy and fries were soggy.Tried calling when I opened my box after I arrived home which only had taken 7 min. I didn’t get an answer and the recording said no voicemail has been set up. So disappointing. Not sure if I’ll return, it’s already expensive eating out these days but when your food is not right...

I LOVE to support black owned businesses and absolutely HATE when I have bad experiences. I went completely out of my way to support this business, on purpose. As I walk to the door I see an employee at the door who opens the door as I approach it. I immediately think "How cool and welcoming". She stands there and just stares at me as if I've done something outrageous or inappropriate. I asked "Are you guys closed?". She rolls her eyes and says "Yes. We not taking no more orders." It was 8:47. The sign says they're open until 9. Now I understand things beyond a someone's control can happen. If they ran out of food or had some other type of issue that caused them to need to close early, it would have been nice if there could have been an apology or at least pretended to be kind instead of treating me as if I was an inconvenience.
