Burger King — Restaurant in St. Matthews

Normally I go to the burger king on westport road which I can highly recommend. But on a rare occasion I come to this Shelbyville rd location because it's close to work, and every time I go to this location I leave with buyers remorse. THIS IS THE WORST LOCATION IN LOUISVILLE. I arrived at 9:30am and went inside I stood at the counter with my money in hand while the girl at the register flirted with either the manager our assistant manager I'm not sure who he was. She was more concerned with showing him her socks while she pulled her pant leg up and pulled on her socks. She then proceeded to take my order AND get my coffee with out washing. Might I Add the lid she gave me had obviously had coffee splashed on it before hand because it had dried coffee stains on it (thanks for that). She then grabbed a croissant sandwich from a long line of pre-made sandwiches(I was the only person there and no-one was in drive thru), and placed my tots that were cooked in extremely old grease (I could tell because of the tiny black specks and the nasty taste) in the bag. This service just sets the stage for the cleanliness of the store, which Is truly disgusting. The floors shine with unwashed grease and the ceiling tiles and walls are discolored from years of neglect. You know that dust you get on the ceiling around your air vents when you don't change your filter in months, yeah that's there.

If your starving and can see your ribs through your skin I still would not recommend eating at this location you would be better off heading down to McDonald's or forging for left overs in...

I had a coupon and had not been to Burger King for a few years so I thought I would try it. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a Coke. The cheeseburger was hot and fresh and chargrilled which I prefer over other fast food restaurants. The fries were hot and salted correctly and actually tastier than that fast food restaurant Mc…The service was actually very good. The teenager behind the counter was helpful and friendly. I received my order in about two minutes which is quite fast considering I did not go with the standard condiments. They also have a Coke freestyle machine and the various flavors that are used go well with a Coke. Worth a return visit.

PROs: Fast friendly service with a smile at the counter Char grilled hamburger was tasty Hot and salted french fries Coke Freestyle is a nice addition With the coupon my meal was only $3 which is a great deal

While placing our order at the drive thru sowaker....rudely a different voice loudly interrupted my husband to advise him that they were out of whoppers and they were no cheese sticks... and went on to let us know that they closed in 9 mins so they had nothing... With having many many years of fast food managerment experience.... including Burger King store management experience- I know what would happen if the owner or/and Corporate discovered customers were being turned away because its 9 mins to close. Its terrible that restaurants suffer good customer service and even making money because it's just unheard of to find good employees. Personally I think that service has changed drastically with no repercussions since cov-19. Seems like it would be better to close up shop due to a pandemic then having to close because if employees that are no where up to par on service with a smile or just good morals all together. I would give zero...
