This was my second time eating at Throwback Pizza and I must say neither time was I disappointed. I’ve had their Stromboli, pepperoni pizza and their wings.
You definitely can not beat their prices for the quality of the food. Wings were on point. They are large and cooked perfect. Pizza was amazing, it got 5 stars with my family who can sometimes be pizza snobs. The Stromboli was huge and you can easily make two meals out of it.
Throwback Pizza is a little hidden gem in Monroe. Owners are extremely nice and great little restaurant. Please give this local business your support !!!
This is additional to the above post. Third trip and it did not disappoint. I had to add to my original review because the garlic knots were so good I couldn’t not share with everyone how delicious they were. My family all rated these as the best we’ve ever had. My daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo and ranked it too as the best she’s ever had. PLEASE support this local business. Also please see the owners reply to things out of his control when he’s not able to open every single day. Trust me the owner and staff are above friendly when you go...
Read moreWanted to try somewhere new for pizza and ended up trying out Throwback Pizza. We tried the pizza, wings and the garlic bread balls while we were there and really loved all three. Garlic balls were light and airy which I really enjoyed. Wings were fried perfectly and I enjoyed both the mild and BBQ flavor since we could get two flavors. Pizza was excellent also with a thin base crust and a soft pillowy texture which I love in pizza. Topping were abundant, seasoning was done well and it came to the table hot and melty! They have cool 90s board games you can play at your table and also some free video arcade games in the corner with Big Buck Hunt, Pac-Man, Street Fighter 2 and Marvel Pinball. Definitely a relaxed and fun place to have dinner. Staff checked with us multiple times with us to see if we were enjoying everything. Even with our pizza being on a wait since we dined in they brought us the garlic balls and wings first so we could enjoy them. Overall it is a great place to take the family for pizza! Only real issue is limited seating but worth the dining-in experience. Really glad we...
Read moreBecause I cannot respond to the owners rude response (but then offered a discount), I will comment here. How am I supposed to know about the buildings facilities? Researching something that I have no info about is not my job or responsibility. Secondly, this has been like this since you opened. If you were in a lease, then you should have gotten out of it due to facility issues. I’m sorry your building is bad, but plenty of empty places with all the businesses going under anyways. Good luck on your new location.
I think this is a great place and the one time I’ve eaten there is was good. However, they are never open when I want to order pizza. What kind of place can afford to be open only half a week for less than 20 hours? They would have so much more business if they stay open. No one can keep up with your random weekend hours. If you are in food service or hospitality business you can’t make it on a few hours a week. Reconsider or just be a food truck. And yes the side door entrance is puzzling and the location is...
