I am not sure if they are Italian or not (like it matters!), but this place COULD be something, but the limited size, puny toppings and uncleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.
I first when in this place about a year ago for a slice. It was not bad. I next went in a year later (a couple of weeks ago) for a whole pie and it was not what I expected. I don't think that they were ready to meet the demand. They use two ovens for baking - one for warming and the other for actual cooking and they have to keep rotating pizzas in and out all of the time! They also don't wash their hands and eat, putting fingers on mouths and and to noses, but not washing hands!
This is your typical pizza place/food place where it seems as if hiring imported Mexicans is the rule within the business world these days, as if those are the only peoples capable of working! The Mexicans do the pizzas, while the others cut and box. Ah well - that's how these places do. It must an "Eyes Wide Shut" thing.
The pizza slice I had before was more tasty while a whole pie was undercooked and I had to tell pro pizza makers to put it back in until it was done. I was not the only one either! I judge all places by their plain and pepperoni pizzas. Their pepperoni passes A test. Their eggplant fails due to small cuts of eggplant and minuscule amounts on the pizza! Their spinach fails as well as they lay out the leaves FLAT in order to stretch the spinach supply and beat customers out of their money! Any place that lays the spinach flat instead of piling it on get's an F in my book!
With that said, this place does have potential. The taste and crust are good enough that if they tweaked it here and their (mainly the sauce), they could be onto something! I think the space is too small for their operation and that get's in the way of cooking and preparation. Parking is also horrible too!
I think if they fix up the complaints that I outlined, they may have something. As of now, I cannot see myself going back because I should not have to tell a pizza man when it's done. I also hate guys cooking and serving people's food and they wipe sweat from their foreheads, touch their noses, put fingers in their mouths and then tough your food! They made sure not to touch mine or I would have left, but they touched the food of those who were not there. For some reason, pizza places act as if they should not...

Read moreGood pizza. Tried plain slice, Sicilian and grandma's pizza slice. Grandma's Pizza was excellent: square pie pizza but not as thick as a sicilian, full of flavor, absolute fresh ingredients from cheese to tomatoes and the dough was incredible, firm crisp on the bottom but so soft and chewy amazing with fresh ingredients on top. The Sicilian was also great: square pie again with thick crust, thicker than the grandma's but the dough was so light and airy and more crisp to it but not extreme so it's hard to chew. Again you can tell the freshness with the cheese and sauce also. The regular pie slice I wasn't as impressed with. Crispy and thin dough it just felt like it was missing something. Sauce was not as flavorful. I wouldn't say this would qualify or meet NY style slice at all. It wasn't bad for what it was. But it has nothing on an NY slice. This place is also a little pricey. But for the quality of the Grandma's Pizza and the Sicilian which were excellent this place deserves a 5...
