The main woman working the front is rude, unprofessional and had no customer service whatsoever. I asked for extra “duck sauce” and she kept saying they don’t have duck sauce. It was clear that maybe I didn’t know the name of the actual sauce so I started to explain what I wanted. I’ve had it there plenty of times at kiku and I’ve used the term “duck sauce “ before. She seemed agitated that I was asking for it but what can I say, that sauce is good. After explaining it she said it’s a dollar per sauce. I then told her that’s fine, I would like 5 of them. It’s almost like she thought because she said they were a dollar each it would deter me. I need that. She went to the back and brought some other spicy sauce and I told her that wasn’t it. I explained the sauce to the best of my ability and she finally got it. I said thank you and asked what’s the actual name for future reference and she ignored me. I was standing right in front of her face and she wouldn’t acknowledge me. I’ve been eating here for at least 10 years and I will never go back. The food is good but I can’t support folks that treat other...
Read moreI usually do not write a negative review since our relatives own a restaurant but the experience was so bad that I had to let the management know. The sushi that we ordered did NOT have the materials that was listed on the menu. We got a few sushi rolls and ended up not eating much and paid close to $ 100 for 4 rolls. I asked the waitress and the manager why the rolls did not have the materials listed on the menu. They simply replied that they were sold out!??! but how can they be sold out for all those different rolls?? I have never heard of a restaurant who does that and not let the customers know. I wish they had told us earlier. Instead, we have gotten rolls with A LOT OF tempura powders and rice that were just fillers. I am very disappointed since we went to this place due to the positive reviews on the google. I wanted to give an honest review to let the...
Read moreUpdate 2024: Went back to meet up with an old friend I hadn't seen in a minute. The place is still just as amazing. The food was great, but mostly the ambiance is unparalleled. We sat at lunchtime for well over an hour chatting and eating. We were never rushed out. In fact the sushi chef were taking their lunch break at one point. This is still my go-to!
Original review: It's our go-to spot when me and my bestie meet up for dinner. She's in bronx, I'm in bpt. This is the best in between! Small intimate, great service, amazing food. Our favorite is cilantro roll. Always always end up ordering too...
