We love supporting local businesses and Jimmy's did not disappoint. This was our first time here and the inside had the old vintage vibe.. You can tell this was a community staple by the crowd of patrons inside.. And the dinner rush got super busy! Luckily we got in about a half hour before. My wife loved her rose wine but my Shirley temple had barely any grenadine and it was Sierra mist not sprite... The cheesy garlic bread appetizer had so much cheese.. Literally so much.. Super yummy with a good portion of sauce, nice light bread with a crisp. Our salsds had a little too much cheese on them. The honey mustard sauce was out of this world amazingly delicious! We both got baked pastas. My meatballs were very dry but that's probably because we got baked dishes, the broiler must have dried them out. Tons of cheese, generous sauce portion, and very filling.. My wife ordered marinara sauce but got meat sauce which was a minus. Went home with leftovers! Service definitely slowed down once the rush came but that was expected. Good prices for big portions. Will be back! Would give an extra half...
Read moreAlright so this is gonna be layered . Hands down awesome garlic bread. Pasta n8ce and firm. BuT so much sugar in the sauce. This place doesn't serve paisans and their gumbas. But your grandpare to and your kids will absolutely love it. Fantastic staff. Large side salads .I had the spaghetti and ribs (awkward I know) but yeah the spaghetti was the right portion. The meat sauce is way better than the marinara. But the ribs... perfectly cooked. But they had a rub with bay leaves . Bieng un digestible and not offering much to a rub im.not sure why they were there . Hints of cinnamon fennel coriander had me thinking corning spices. But it was topped with bbq sauce. It worked. Don't get me wrong. It was good but almost wish it was a osso bucco style or itallian or even greek in anyway . The herbs in the rub were distracting with sweet bbq wich didn't match well with the super sweet spaghetti. Still all in all good, got home added parmesan and some garlic salt and boom . Was gonna order dessert but it looked like generic chocolate cake and a puddle of goo for the tiramisu...
Read moreI Don't recommend this place. I drove from Oak Harbor to Stanwood on a Tuesday to try this restaurant. Parking was difficult due to the volume of customers at 6:30 PM. The restaurant was indeed busy and I ended up on a waiting list. I waited for 40 minutes while watching the staff run around with their heads cut off trying to wait tables. I finally lost patience and walked up to the hostess to inquire why my party of three had not been seated yet. She looked at her hand written list and said "oops, looks like we scratched your name off the list by mistake". I asked why we'd been scratched off the list and she explained that someone's poor handwriting made party of three look like party of five. As it turns out, the wait staff couldn't tell the difference between a hand written 3 and a 5. I asked to speak to the manager and I politely explained to her that we would not be dining at this restaurant this evening. Due to my experience, I would not recommend this restaurant and I...
