I entered this establishment with hopeful anticipation, only to leave utterly disappointed. The experience was nothing short of dreadful and certainly unworthy of even a single star. To begin with, the Penang Curry I received was a travesty. Rather than the rich, creamy, aromatic dish I had anticipated, I was served a watery concoction that resembled soup more than curry. It was bland and lifeless, a mockery of the delightful dish I've enjoyed countless times at other restaurants. It's baffling how they could get such a quintessential Thai recipe so wrong.
Adding to my discontent was the so-called "cucumber salad." I envisioned a delightful mixture of marinated cucumbers, vibrantly interspersed with red onions and a hint of Thai chili, all bathed in a refreshingly tangy vinegar sauce. What I received, however, was merely a basic salad with a scant few cucumber slices tossed in. It was as if they had run out of inspiration—or perhaps even run out of care—for what constitutes a true cucumber salad in authentic Thai cuisine. The flavor was flat, the presentation mundane.
It leads one to question whether this establishment has any grasp on what is expected in Thai cuisine, especially within the context of the United States' dining scene, where such dishes have been lovingly appreciated for their intricate flavors and textures. The lack of adherence to these well-known culinary standards is alarming.
Could this be a reflection of their overall approach to hospitality and culinary excellence? If this experience is anything to go by, I fear it might be. I would advise anyone contemplating a visit to stay far away from this place. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a venue that respects its patrons and the delicious tradition of...
Read moreWe always enjoy the food here. It is served quickly and correct temperature and amount of spice, 1-5 stars for how spicy you want it. The curries are all very good, red is my personal favorite. Temple cashew and Thai Angel also great. The lunch special has your Thai entree, a green salad and a couple dumplings for about $14. The dinner portion does not include salad or appetizer but larger portion, enough for 2 servings. Very clean, efficient, and friendly place I highly recommend. We took 2 other couples from out of town and they accommodated our party of 7 and brought us some coconut crusted tofu appetizers on the house!! We have ordered takeout many times over the pandemic and it has always been prepared and ready when they said. There is a cozy fireplace at one end if you can snag a table near. It is not fancy and needs a better looking sign but the food is wonderful. EDIT: Shortly after writing this review I learned the ownership has recently changed. Recipes are different. Prices up as they are nearly everywhere. I did notice my entree of phad Thai had only 5 shrimp , alot less than before. The jury is still out on this place now but it is not the same...

2ND UPDATE *
I ordered L5 2 star. There was zero stars and hardly any veggies. It’s supposed to come with jasmine rice but I didnt get any. I had to make my own rice at home, and add chili flakes just to have a flavor! My dish tastes like watered down peanut butter and I’m disgusted. This is not the first time I’ve had awful food from your establishment. I want you to know what a disappointment you are to the entire city of Stanwood when it comes to Thai food. You should take more pride in the food you create.
I need to stop coming here because they obviously cannot redeem themselves
Original review:
Thai done right!!! Beautifully laid out, perfect spice. These crab Rangoon’s were legitimately the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten a lot!) I got the lunch portion of chicken of Thai and it was still HUGE and came with gyoza already! I’m so happy I live close by. I see myself coming here and only here for Thai. The sweet lady (I assume owns the place) was so kind and...
