We’ve eaten at Rustic Table on multiple occasions and even had it delivered. The meatloaf USED to be something I’d crave and looked forward to. It USED to be the best meatloaf I have ever had. But tonight, I don’t understand what has happened!! Completely different recipe, it was cut in very dry slabs instead of the loaf, with a weird texture and taste, I can’t really convey, but it’s definitely not meatloaf tasting seasoning. I’m having difficulty with the texture, it was like kangaroo meat or something. I gave most of it to my dog. We spent a good amount for my family and I to eat and my husband was disappointed with his burger and said it tasted off, our 2 year old wouldn’t touch the chicken. Out about 65 dollars now. It definitely wasn’t worth the prices. The new owner Cassandra, is making some really bad business decisions. She’s also not the nicest person I’ve met. Very entitled and dismissive. No, Cassandra you can keep your money. I already have your phone number and you never reply back. You also dismissed my husband and I in November when we came in for breakfast knowing full well that I was coming in to speak with you to discuss a business proposition and you knew we were there and you walked past us on multiple occasions. Never once acknowledging us. We waited for an hour and then you left in your truck. You had loyalty, you had our business even after the unwarranted dismissal and rudeness, but not anymore. Most people are disappointed in the restaurant since you took over. The way you treat people is getting around, and this is a small town.

I met a couple of friends for girls night dinner here. My friend said she made a reservation. I arrived early, and when I said I had a reservation, I was told they don't take reservations. It wasn't busy, and I was seated right away. The entrance door is next to the bar area. Not very welcoming and is awkward. Restuarant is good size with plenty of tables. I did visit the bathroom which was clean and nicely decorated. They created a separation to the bathrooms to create privacy and blend in with the open concept of the restaurant. Waitress was attentive and pleasant. We started with a sushi roll, which was delicious. One friend ordered the Ahi with season veggies (squash)and mashed potato she was delighted and satisfied with her meal. Second friend ordered the Finger steak and fries basket. It was a nice portion, fingers steaks were lightly breaded. However, some of the finger steaks were too fatty for my friend. The fries was were good and hot. When we told the waitress, she apologized and offered another selection (my friend declined). The waitress adjusted our bill accordingly. Very nice and we appreciated this. I ordered the half rack ribs. I was amazed at the portion size of the half portion. I choose the soup of the day (corn chowder) delicious and like homemade. My other side was a baked potato. I ended up taking half my food home. I enjoyed the food and the service was top notch. Our server checked on us several times and was always pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this place. I look forward to dining here again.

WOW! I've heard of this place for a few weeks now. So today we decided to give them a try. We were greeted and seated immediately at about 11:20, and within a minute of being seated, Cassandra (our server and the owner) welcomed us by giving us two waters. We knew what we wanted ahead of time, so we gave her our order right then. And eight minutes later our plates hit the table. The bacon cheeseburger with that Kobe 80/20 beef was so tasty and juicy, I'm surprised I didn't start swearing like Fred Flintstone! ;-) And wifey got their French Dip sandwich, to which she told me was the BEST she's had in the whole Treasure Valley. I don't recall ever having thin cut steak fries, but I did today and liked them very much. Some places with standard thickness steak fries don't cook them enough, so they're a bit mushy or undercooked in the middle. And even though I didn't have a salad today, Cassandra told me they do offer Thousand Island; yay, since some steakhouses don't offer that. We both liked the decor and ambience. And I commented that it looked like a place that the actor Josh Duhamel from his most recent cowboy/western show would've walked in to order a whiskey and steak, to which wifey chuckled and agreed. We're looking forward to trying their breakfast items and dinner entrees in our future visits. PS: I had called ahead of time, and the gal that answered the phone didn't say her name. Certainly not a dealbreaker but a nice touch to hear. :-)

Update: Came for dinner at 4:30 on a Friday evening. One other party of two at a table. We were told to choose our table. We chose a table more to the back, where we could have some privacy.

Unfortunately, whether on orders of management or on their own initiative, the hostesses proceeded to bunch the next three parties right next to us, despite many other tables being available. The result was that, especially because of one of the parties near us, it became very loud and no longer a pleasant ambiance. We understand seating customers to make it easier on the servers, but with three on duty, I think that this bunching was totally unnecessary.

My wife ordered the pastrami sandwich and I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich. My sandwich was just OK, nothing special. My wife is looking for the perfect pastrami sandwich for her, thinly sliced and nicely seasoned. Unfortunately, this was not it, and she did not finish the sandwich. The flat fries that they served were interesting, but on the soggy side rather than crispy.

Our young male server was very nice and did a good job of taking care of us.

The bottom line for us is that, after coming here multiple times now, we will probably return, but more because it is conveniently located rather than for the food and ambiance.

Rustic Table is under new ownership and they now offer breakfast. Today is my birthday and we came about 8:30 am.

They have done some upgrades to their interior. There is a nice wooden divider that, separates the front door from the rest of the restaurant. We were seated right away, in fact, there were very few people in the restaurant, despite it being a Saturday morning.

They have a fairly extensive breakfast menu. They omelets have five eggs, and other dishes have three eggs. For $13.50, I ordered a five-egg omelet with hashbrowns and a large pancake. The pancake was fluffy and flavorful, the syrup warm, and the omelet had plenty of bacon and cheddar jack cheese. My only complaint here is that I ordered my hash browns extra crispy, and they were not. My wife ordered the classic: three eggs, 4-5 strips of thick bacon, and hash browns, as well as French toast. I took home half of my meal.

Cassandra, also one of the new owners, was our server and took good care of us. She was very nice and attentive. For being practically empty, our food took too long to come out, but we were not in a hurry, so it was no big deal.

Star Country Cafe is very busy on Saturdays. At least for now, Rustic Table offers nicer ambience, good food, great value, and is not crowded, even on a Saturday. I recommend you...

I came into the place at 8:23 on 4/28, vary inviting. They close at 9PM. I asked if I could order to go and the bartender who was pleasant took my order and I ordered 2 shots while I waited. I work 8-5 in Boise and had several chores on my way home, I figured I'd treat my husband and I to a nice burger since it was too late to really make something at home. I noticed they were in the high end almost $20. for a burger since it changed hands recently. We ordered 2 burgers, I should have checked, but I didn't. When I got home my husbands burger was incorrect, they made just a basic bacon burger, I ordered the habenero bacon burger for him($18.), and I ordered the Rare burger(also $19), it was supposed to have huckleberry sauce, bacon, Avacodo and jalapenos. Half of what was promised was missing and the cooks just threw 2 whole cooked jalapenos in the box on top of the burger. Now we work hard for our money... so an $85. Bill for 2 burgers, an order of fried cheese curds and 2 shots is alot for us, it might not be for some... but it is for us. We did not eat our order and I called when I opened the boxes to express my disappointment, I had to leave a message as they were closed at this point, my husband sent a message as well on their website, we left phone contacts, we've received no call back. I have managed a restaurant and I always made it right when the customer was disappointed if we messed up. I called last night after work to ask if I could come in and was told by a manager that I need to figure it out with the owner, there was nothing she could do. I went in this morning on my way to work, the nice gal told me no one was available, manager/ owners were of again, the chef would be in later. I've spent enough time trying to have them fix their mistake. It seems they don't care about their customers. Guess I'll just eat the $50. In burgers and the $10. tip the kitchen clearly did not deserve. To be clear the waitstaff...

I had to delete my old review of this place as it was done under the old ownership and it certainly didn't reflect what a difference new ownership makes. First of all the staff. What a difference it went from very unprofessional and very little knowledge of proper service to top notch. I can't even express how horrible it was to how exceptional it is now. Second of all the food went from substandard and extreme inconsistency also not very appealing to a mouth watering extremely satisfying improvement. Kudos to the new owners for turning it into the great place I was expecting it to be with the old owner. They have exceeded my expectations and made me forget about all the previous terrible experiences. The breakfast was honestly like mom used to make. The burgers are amazing like a craft house style with a new menu that I have yet to find something I haven't like. I strongly recommend the pickle fries they are probably the best I have ever had. One example of the change is their club sandwich. When I had previously ordered it came with one slice of turkey one slice of ham one slice of lettuce and one slice of tomato and 3 thick slices of bread. As you can imagine it was a very dry and bland. This time when I ordered it was so large and filled with so much meat cheese and veggies I couldn't finish the whole sandwich. That's how it should be! Bravo! The fries are awesome and if you tell them they will cook them a little longer and make them extra crispy just like I like them. Over all it went from a 2 out of 10 to a strong 10 out of 10 with much better pricing as well. I felt for what we were charged compared to what we got was an extremely good deal. I can't wait to go back and try something new. I...
