I stopped in for a hot tea. I ended up adding a chocolate danish. Both were delicious. The plentiful windows added good natural light. Seems like a quiet place to have a hot beverage with a friend, colleague, or customer. For those of us more introverted who need to get out of the house once and a while, it would be a great place to read, write, or sketch without major distraction. There was some music playing, but it was appropriately subtle. The black tablecloths are a nice touch. For people with gluten sensitivity, there were multiple pastry/bakery options. The staff were both friendly and accommodating. Be sure to check the little art gallery by the restrooms to admire local student art. Read moreThis is the second time I’ve visited this shop, however they are always out of things. Today I went in and asked for a pumpkin muffin-they were out. Instead I decided to try the strawberry (that looked like pumpkin, behind that sign), but also opted for a lemon bar. The lemon bar had zero lemon taste! I didn’t even waste my calories on the muffin-threw it away. I also ordered a sugar free coffee, that they came back and said they forgot they were out of the sugar free syrup. Place that have rude employees ruin everything about the place. There’s no reason to have a bad attitude for no reason with a customer. I simply won’t be coming back just because the employees have bad attitudes. If you want good business then you need to start with your employees and how they interact with the customers.
