This was my first ever stop to eat at Waffle House (near Iredell Memorial Hospital). I had not eaten anything for many hours due to a test I was going to go through, so when it was okay to eat, I stopped here. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. I mentioned as I sat down to Betty, who was going to take care of me, that this was my first time eating at a Waffle House. As a Canadian living in the US, every time my husband and I would be near one, we were on our way somewhere and couldn't stop. This was my chance to see what it was like, what the menu was, and how everything would taste. Every person working today was super sweet. And, I want to add that each of them worked very, very hard and quickly to take care of their customers. Betty took care of me. She checked on me often to make sure that everything was tasty and it was (I was really hungry when I walked in there!) At one moment, Betty asked if the meal was to my liking and if it helped to make me feel less hungry, and I said an emphatic YES, It was perfect! Kudos to Betty for being awesome at her job!! I would go back to this particular Waffle House any day just to day hi to her 😊 I also couldn't believe that the servers could just tell the two female chefs what meals to prepare (sick are prepared right in an open kitchen) and they prepared them on the spot! No papers needed, no papers exchanged. No one had a complaint when I was there. If there was a very tiny thing to mention was that the eggs were cooked in more butter than what I thought they would be cooked in. As a note, that's my preference though - others may prefer the eggs just the way they were cooked. Thank you Betty and the other women who were working today.... You really impressed me with how hard you work and how sweet you all are!

This was my worst experience at a waffle house I've ever had to deal with the eggs were uncooked the waffle was overcooked and cold once it finally got to me we received all of our food except our bacon we were given the wrong plate out of our 3 plates all of them had undercooked eggs with the membrane still showing grits were very watery my fiance didn't receive her waffle until 20 minutes of us being here and I had to stop the waitress and ask several times to even get butter once I finally received it my waffle might have well came out the freezer our bacon took until we finished what was edible (which was hardly anything) and Everytime we finished a cup of coffee it took 5 minutes to get a refill and to top everything off they weren't busy at all they had 3 tables including us

Came in late at 12:30 am after 5 hour ER visit with daughter. Waited half hour in line and asked if I could please be seated with my daughter as I am a disabled veteran with a back injury. Was told "NO", not even able to complete the question. Half of the seating was occupied and the rest had plates that needed removed. By the time my food was handed to me there were empty seats available that did not need cleaned. I asked if I could please be explained why we could not sit and eat at what google said is dine-in 24 hour service. I was told it was because she had been slammed all night with inadequate help. I explained that we too had had a rough evening and it was not all about her.

Sorry I really used to like waffle House but not anymore. My husband and I were there are three weeks ago about 2:00 in the morning on a whim to just go get breakfast. The place, was a complete disaster trash all over the floor tables that weren't bussed, they had about five or six people in there working. The food was terrible, the egg tasted like some sort of a sponge rather than eggs and the unless we ordered we're missing items we had asked to go in it. When we asked the waitress about it she barely spoke two words walked away and apologized that's it. Nobody offered to correct it or make it correct. I had also ordered a waffle by the time that was brought to the table it was cold. I called the waitress back over and asked her what was going on the food that evening was horrible. She grabbed the plate walked away without even saying a word didn't tell me what she was going to do or anything but brought me back another waffle perhaps just heated in the microwave. There were also a group of 20ish aged patrons, burping out loud and being very loud and rude. On the floor next to the table were stepped on napkins and food on the floor that if you stepped on you'd probably slip and fall. We actually couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm sorry, we weren't even offered anything off of the bill So I'm basing this on all the criteria asked to rate and I give each category a one. We probably won't be going back there anytime...

I have managed in food service. For one a waitress needs to smile she needs to engage make sure you are being taken care of. The cook wearing gloves needs to change those gloves after he touches one different types of meat when he opens the fridge to grab the meat. Don't use the same gloves opening the fridge grabbing pork then grabbing beef then shutting the fridge and then grabbing the utensils and continue to cook all while never changing gloves once. You never ever use a cup especially the same cup you're giving a customer in the ice machine. The ice scooper was sitting right beside the machine. The tea was in a plastic open 3quart container. The waitress after putting the customer's cup in the ice machine then took her bare hand and used a small coffee cup dipped it into the open container of tea to fill his cup of ice. That cup she used to dip into the tea was not thrown away it was left inside the opened container of tea... When dishes are washed in a restaurant. You are to have a wash sink rinse sink in the middle then the third side is your sanitizing. Dishes are not suppose to be dried off by hand they are to air dry.. I won't be returning to that waffle house.. Honestly the health department needs to do a suprise...
