Placed a order at 9:35 an was told it was gonna take about 20 to 25 min for my order to be ready, so I arrived at 10 on the dot an the lights were off an they were pulling out of the parking lot an they saw me standing at the door . The least they could do is call me an tell me there leaving an closing up, it's pretty bad when there not even there at the time they tell you your food will be ready !! An they are not even there a min past there closing time for cleaning up or waiting for there customer to pick up there to-go order . Ridiculous just plain ridiculous an I order there at least once a week an they never stay open until the time they are supposed too they close early almost every single day of the week !! Change your hours if you don't want to stay open until your listed closing time ! My next complaint will be at the Better Business Bureau!!!!!!!! This is very poor customer service at it's best ! An couldn't figure out how to reply to the owner of Amafis Statesville but I didn't call I drove there to pick my food up an was sitting in the parking lot parked right in front of the door, an I actually went to door an tried to open it even though all lights were off an there were two vehicles pulling out of the parking lot located between ol bobs an Amafis restaurant an I was sitting there watching them pull out an it was 10:00pm an not a min later, an this is not the 1st of it, this is a continuous reoccurrence I am documenting my complaint at the right place . I have attempted to order more food from here an have been told that you were already closed hours before the time listed on your door an on the website an I have been told that your closed early because of various reasons to do with a gas leak in kitchen and people were on the way to fix it an I have called twice In one night an spoke to two different people and each of them told me a different time you closed that same night. Read moreWe've been customers here for a few years, dining in some and getting take out for the past year or so. It seems with each take out order, they get worse and worse. I drive over ten miles each way to get my order, so you can tell how much I want to like this place.
I recently placed a curbside pick up order online as I usually do putting my vehicle information on the order. Order was confirmed via email. Pulled up and called in to let them know I arrived and was smugly told they don't do curbside anymore. Wow, why didn't they put that on my order confirmation? We've been doing curbside specifically so that we don't have to add to the mass of humanity that's always in their small waiting area (especially now that COVID numbers are rising again). So I reluctantly parked and went inside to get my food. How hard is it to have someone run an order right outside the door?
On my previous curbside order, I got home, gave everyone their meal and mine was missing. Called the restaurant and the person that answered the phone said "oh yeah, it's right here." Great! But not worth a second 20+ mile round trip.
Also, Chow Now sends emails periodically with 10% discount codes for this place every month or so. I enter the code with my order and it never works. I've noted it on my order and it's never acknowledged. I've contacted Chow Now and that's useless too. I just don't bother with their promo's anymore.
Again, the food is good. No doubt about it! But. the takeout service is lacking; they just don't care. I think we'll take a break from this...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES. I have a bell pepper allergy that is mild normally, but deadly with a co-factor of alcohol. When ordering my meal, I ordered the Pollo Capriccioso and was told the soup options were tomato and Italian wedding soup. I ordered the tomato, but it either came out as roasted red pepper soup or just contained red bell peppers. When notifying of the allergy our server and asking about the peppers, she only said "Oh, I don't know," and walked away afterwards and did not seem to have an answer even after that. The meal I ordered only lists cherry peppers, no bell peppers, and I informed the server of the allergy, so I should have been safe. The server did not inform me that it does in fact contain small diced green bell peppers, even after being made aware of my allergies. This is awfully negligent and I have been suffering for it all night. Again, my allergy is a co-factor with alcohol and had I ordered the glass of wine I wanted, I would be in the emergency room instead.
