Waffle House — Restaurant in Statham

I normally would not take the time to write a complaint, but the service and overall experience was truly that terrible that I had to. I have eaten at various Waffle Houses probably no less than 200 times in my life, and I have never experienced anything like I just did. My husband and I decided to celebrate our one year anniversary by starting the day with Waffle House. When we came in, we were immediately faced by angry and rude waitresses. They all stood around and did not try to buss any of the tables or help us get seated. After standing around for 30 minutes, my husband and I sat ourselves at the bar and patiently waited another 15 minutes for someone to clean the dirty plates that were just sitting around. After asking multiple times, we finally were able to get one of the waitresses to come clean up the plates. She had a terrible attitude and proceeded to act like we were not even there. After finally getting her to take our order, we received part of our meal that included wrong items and a hair in my husbands meal. He also was given his coffee in a dirty mug that had dried up food on it. All of it together was absolutely repulsive and never once did any of the other waitresses try to make it right or apologize. The man next to us received gravy that was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. It was basically grey water. I am so unbelievably disappointed with the service...

I gave this place 3 separate tries over the course of 18 months.

The first time my husband and I went for a little 'date's away from the kids. The waitress was kind enough to advise us away from certain foods because they weren't fresh and on the verge of going bad but the person in charge wanted it used anyways. I was still hungry so we stayed away from those products. After taking a drink of my orange juice, I almost threw up right there on the table. It tasted like straight up onions. When I told the waitress she said it wouldnt surprise her if some onions fell into the orange juice container.

2nd time I did an order over the phone. When my husband came back with the order, we were missing food, the eggs had shells in them and the hashbrowns had a long hair in them.

The third time we went because it was grocery shopping day and we were all hungry. Hubby and I decided this was the last chance we were giving this waffle house. Not only was the orange juice soured but all of us once again found shells in our scrambled eggs, the waffles looked as if they had been through tortur. Ordered online -walked into the store a guy named Maurice ( name tag showed he was district manager) said-" are you paying credit or cash?" I then say " credit" he says "machine is down" . I then stated to him, "do I need to cancel my order and go somewhere else he said most definitely you do. I then asked him how long has it been down he said well over two hours. As one workwe is bagging up our food .he just then keeps it sitting there on counter.

So as i am standing in front of him he didn't once apologize or anything. Just not very professional . How are you going to run a business and not be apologetic or show you care about your customers.

No one in the store greeted me upon arrival; all the workers just look absolutely miserable. I aslo seen a girl come from her car -smoking a cigarette and went straight to work without washing her hands!!!! Disgusting. They will be having visitors soon. Store is just in awful condition inside... believe they are all there just for a paycheck. Guess it is a good thing I didn't get food for my family and I. Won't be coming back to this...
