This used to be my favorite place to eat in Stephenville. I would go a couple times a week and was impressed every time. But today I went in to get chicken nachos to go. So the lady grabs a to go container and goes over to the chips. She grabs one handful of chips and put it in the container. It was maybe ten chips. So I noticed that the container was much smaller than the containers they used to have. So I asked the girl if that I was going to still have to pay $5.95 plus tax. And of course she said yes. That is completely ridiculous for me to pay that much for ten chips. And the girl had the nerve to say that she could put as much stuff in the container. Honey there would have not been any room in that super small container. Needless to say, Habanero has lost my business forever. So I went to Taco Casa. I watched the lady make my nachos. She put FIVE big handfuls of chips in the 8.5 x 8.5 x 1" container. And I only paid $4.00 for an extra cheese and meat. That is a much better price tag than paying $5.95 for ten chips and a 6 x 6 x .5" container. Taco Casa has my business now. Habanero is going to have to make some changes before they have...
Read moreFood is good. But the drive through window gives you the impression it will be fast, which is not true. I usually go to la Esmerelda for breakfast but thought I’d try something different this morning. I went through the line and got up to the window. I one came and said anything to me. There were two people behind me, one of them left because of how long I was taking. 10 minutes or so pass by and no one came to say anything to me or bring me my food. I tried calling them a couple of times but didn’t get an answer. So I went inside to see what was going on. The girl inside was really nice about it. I was just frustrated because I was on my way to work and didn’t realize how long it was going to take. My point is if you are in a hurry in the morning don’t go...
Read moreI have been coming here for lunch several times a week for years. The food is excellent. Everything is made fresh daily, and you can taste it. Everything in the menu is good, but 9 times out of 10, I'm going with the rice bowl. Portions are generous, and the flavors are bold. If you end up there for breakfast, then prepare to be just as impressed. The breakfast burritos are massive, and the breakfast bowl has unique flavors when you combine eggs, bacon, and refried beans. As a frequent customer, I know the consistency of the food is second to none, and I am confident that no matter when you decide to go in, your experience...
