We go through the drive thru every Tuesday and Thursday to get the kids a blizzard after football and cheer practice. Tonight we tried something different, one of the items I ordered was a mini blizzard with heath and cookie dough. When we were handed it through the drive thru it was chocolate ice cream. I wasn’t aware that it was made like that and said “I’m sorry can I get it with just vanilla” the lady working the drive thru said “that is how it comes if you want it re made them pull around front”. So we did and we could see the manager leaning on the table by the window talking on his cell phone, we waited about 10 minutes in front with no one else in the drive thru. I then decided to go in and wait at the counter. The manager came up and asked what I was waiting for. I told him the Heath and cookie dough blizzard with no chocolate sauce and we were waiting on a medium peanut butter cup blizzard as well. He seen the peanut butter cup one sitting on the counter and handed it to me. Then he went to ask the drive thru lady about the other one. And she told him very rudely that “she didn’t order it right and that peanut butter cup one is not hers!” I held up my receipt and said “yes it is it shows it right here” I said this annoyed at the way she was speaking to me and the manager but didn’t raise my voice. She then yelled at me “don’t speak to me that way!” I was completely shocked and I asked for her name (since she had no name tag) and she wouldn’t give it to me. I then asked the manager and he said “I’ll take care of it” but wouldn’t give me her name. They then hand me the Heath and cookie dough blizzard and don’t dip it upside down because it’s completely melted to the consistency of milk. I left it on the counter and said “I would like to get my money back for that blizzard because it is melted.” The manager said “no I’m not doing that I’ll remake it” so he remade it and handed it to me and I went to walk out. And he yelled after me “throw the blizzard on the counter away” I just kept walking and he chased me to the door and told me to “get the hell out of his store”. I was completely shocked of how I was treated. I have never had a problem at a restaurant ever in my life or ever had to complain to a manager. I have never been yelled at by a restaurant staff ever! It was mortified as there were other customers in the dining room. I didn’t see why I would be responsible to throw away a melted blizzard they put on the counter. My kids in the car were scared seeing the manager run after me, they have never seen something like that ever. We will definitely be getting ice cream somewhere else...
Read moreEvery time I come here to get a blizzard, it’s soupy and not-well made at all. Due to the lack of local ice cream options, I’ve continued to give it the benefit of the doubt and go back expecting different, just to be handed the same liquidy, melted ice-dream that is nothing like what it’s supposed to be. I’ve visited multiple DQ outside of Stephenville this last week during the heatwave and each time was pleasantly surprised that their ice cream was actually good and nothing like the Stephenville location. I previously ordered an Oreo blizzard w/ a fudge core and received a melted ice cream with the itty bitty (like, leftover) pieces of Oreo and because it was so melted, all of the fudge was mixed into the bottom and it just wasn’t good. I’d also ordered my boyfriend a brownie blizzard with triple extra brownie (paid extra for it) and it was just as soupy and had NO actual brownie bites, just like my Oreo blizzard. He was very unhappy but refused to go back because every time it’s bad and simply NOT worth the money. I’d give it no stars, but ultimately, it’s ice cream.🍦 Ice cream done wrong, yes, but...
Read moreI cannot believe how awful my experience was at this Dairy Queen location. The workers were completely incompetent and had no idea what they were doing. Not only that, but the drive through speakers were so bad that the employee could barely hear me, and were also incredibly rude. I asked for a mint chocolate chip blizzard and the employee said “chocolate blizzard?” to which i said “no a mint chocolate chip blizzard” and he said “a mint blizzard?” to which i responded “yes with chocolate chips” and he repeated my order back to me so I said yes with chocolate chips for a 4th time. When I got to the window they gave me a mint blizzard WITHOUT CHOCOLATE CHIPS, so I said “there isn’t chocolate chips in this, and he goes “you didn’t ask for chocolate chips” so I told him I said it 4 times. And his coworker pushed him out of the way, then another coworker pushed them both out of the way and scolded them both, then fixed my order. I will never be returning to this location and would not recommend...
