Joey B's Public House — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

I really wanted to like this place since I used to come here when it was called the Island. And it’s fairly close to my home. But last night for St Patrick’s day was a terrible first experience. As soon as we pulled up there was a young kid starting fights outside, there was no bouncer IDing at the door. It looked like nothing but under aged kids in there. I even asked a couple of guys their age just messing around and their response was “old enough” and laughed. There was another physical fight that broke out at the bar. The one bartender at the bar was so disrespectful we waited a half hour to get a drink from her because she was too busy taking shots with patrons and kept avoiding looking in our direction. So much negative energy at this bar and it’s sad because I feel like it would be a better atmosphere with a bouncer present especially on a busy night like St pattys. FOOD WAS GREAT THOUGH! BBQ chicken flatbread...should be dough, cheese, onions, diced tomatoes, chicken and cilantro drizzled with BBQ sauce. Thier recipe is burnt dough, cheese, pizza sauce and alot of it with chicken and alot of BBQ sauce. So gross and never in my life seen a Flatbread prepared like this. 4 people in the entire place and food took almost 40 mins. We might be back just because it's a guaranteed seat at the bar because it was so empty but will never eat again. My husband had a mushroom Swiss burger, should never come with all the toppings and mayo. Menu does not explain the ingredients and he hates mayo. Go anywhere else and a mushroom Swiss burger is mushrooms and Swiss cheese with LTO on the side. Prove me wrong. Menu looked so good and couldn't wait to try everything in it but now will never eat there again, clearly you don't have experienced cooks there. But the bartender pleasant....

My son lost his valued wallet with cash and credit cards at the restaurant he believes he lost it at the restroom, he looked and the owner Rose claimed she looked everywhere but couldn’t find it. I kept calling Rose the owner many times after she never answered and called me in the morning, I begged her to look at the camera at the time my son was there and after he left the restroom she said she cannot she had funeral all day today and tomorrow and she believes she cannot find it because it was dark with so many people and 11 hours camera I was really disappointed! My son lost his wallet at the restaurant they should be more compassion and helpful, Rose kept saying it’s his fault he lost it and will not find it! The only thing we know that he was at your restaurant at least try your best to help customers find their lost valued items. Very disappointed and...
