Air Play Espresso and Bakery — Restaurant in Sterling

I am completely biased so take my words with a grain of salt. Honestly, the folks that run air play are the cream of the crop for small shop businesses. The owner, his kids, the manager, and the associates are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. My wife was given a job there in late summer and is treated like family; truly something you do not see very often anymore. Now, onto the coffee. I am the opposite of a coffee snob, but more of a caffeine addict and this place gives you a huge number of ways to get your fix and since its all customization (within the bounds of both reason, sanity, and the patience of the staff) you are going to be happy.

Also, I am kinda irritated at the guy that had a good time and gave it three stars...

(Go to the coffee shop BEANS right next door!) This was the only coffee shop that showed up in my Google search for "coffee near me" when we stopped in Sterling on our way to Chicago. I wanted a pick me up treat for the road and got an unflavored latte for me and the double chocolate brownie for my husband. We got to the car and both were super disappointed in our items. The coffee was super not good. :( Then I was bummed too because I saw there was another coffee shop right next door and it had way better reviews when I looked...

I wasn't feeling the vibe of the atmosphere. But maybe I could try walking in with a book. My cappuccino was disgusting. It was supposed to be a French Vanilla and it had no flavor, no sweetness, and lack of milk. If I wanted black coffee with lite cream I would have ordered that. Customer service was meh. She asked what she would get for me but that was about it. She wasn't happy like the other places I had been to that day. Not sure if her Friday morning wasn't going well. But she didnt seem...
