We met friends for a midweek dinner at El Jacalito the parking is plentiful however there was no handicap parking that I saw. The restaurant was handicap accessible from the door to the restrooms. There was a whole row of slot machines that appeared to be covid safe with plenty of space and plexiglass between the machines. The tables were all spaced pretty far apart to also be covid safe. The service was outstanding she was very friendly and efficient, however it did take a pretty long time to get our bill and carryout order. The food was served hot fresh and very tasty. They are about to cut the hours down for the next 2 months so they are only open until 3pm for the months of July and August of 2021.

We had an absolutely awesome experience at El Jacalito in Sterling! The tacos were outstanding—my wife and I tried a variety, including chicken, steak, and al pastor, all topped with fresh cilantro and onion. The salsa, especially with a squeeze of lime, elevated the flavors to another level. The quality of the ingredients was exceptional, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. We'll definitely be returning for more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommend!

Sundays they close at 3pm. The food was real good. I had the beef fajita. Comes with five tortillas. Hardly any cheese though. I wish their "chips and salsa" chips were warm. They sell Pepsi. The chimichango could have had more spice but it was good. Tacos were real good.. There's not enough seating for sure. It was packed. So the service was slower. If in the area. Please try it. It's worth it.

First time here, place was very clean, bathroom was maintained properly, waitress was efficient and kind but did leave her shift without notifying us of that, so we had another lady finish taking care of us but wasn't as polite or looked like she wanted to be there. As far as the food, chips are crispy, salsa is very bland, made of tomatoe puree with a touch of seasoning. Fountain drink was a bit flat. I ordered a breaded steak torta with rice and beans. All was good except for the rice had a fishy taste to it, may have been old reused oil. . I found a black straight short hair on the edge of my plate but I didn't say anything. Food is reasonably priced. Limited parking. Overall, it's a good place for Mexican food (close...

Today at 3:05 pm my wife and I decided to eat before going home after our great nieces dance recital. My wife double checked their website and confirmed they were open until 5 pm today. We didn't even get inside the door when we were yelled at from someone inside the restaurant, "We're closed!!!". Several patrons at the bar turned around and looked at us. It was very embarrassing. The door said they were open until 5PM. We have eaten here before and it was okay. If you review my reviews you will see they usually very positive. Don't think I will be spending my money there or recommending...
