Two stars because the employees weren't mean. They were, however, very inept. I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese, no onions extra pickles. I went through the drive through because I didn't want to unload and reload my baby just for that. There was one car behind me in the drive thru, no one in the dining area, and 2 families that already had their food in the "Fun Zone." It took 10 minutes to get the burger, which had extra onions and no pickles, so I had to go in. I get inside, there's no one at the counter. The girl working the window is putting drinks together, and says, "so you know that Snap I was telling you about..." Looks over to see the person she was talking to is no longer there, giggles, and then says into her headset, "Connor (or whatever his name was, I don't remember for sure), where did you go?" A teenage boy then emerges from the back of the restaurant, makes eye contact with me, appears to look at the man and his son next to me, and just walks back. The girl at the window looks at him and smiles. The manager on duty then comes out, says, "where's Connor?" The girl straight up, without skipping a beat, lies directly to his face and says, "I don't know. I really don't." The manager says, "well, tell him we need him up here now." She does, and the same teenage boy that ignored me, and the other customer before, comes back out. I show him what is wrong. He goes to the people making the food and tells them what it's supposed to be. Another 10 minute wait, in which I hear the girl in back making the food say no less than 5 times "no onions, extra pickles??" I do not live in Stevens Point, so I very rarely come here. However, at the many other McDonald's locations that I've been to, I have not had an issue with ordering no onions, extra pickles, so I didn't think it was that strange of a request, but who knows, maybe they don't get a lot of those requests. So, a full half an hour after I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese, no onions extra pickles, I had it. Additionally, the bathrooms were in a rather poor state. For all these reasons, I...
Read moreI've had enough of this location. We swing through on our way up north, and have often stopped here to use the drive through. Odds are about 50/50 on a successful transaction, and we order simple stuff. One time my son ordered 3 cheeseburgers with no pickles. 2 had pickles, and the one that did not also did not have the meat! This last time we swept right through the order process (the woman taking the order and payment was very nice). But when we got to the window, I got a blank stare from the boy looking at me. He asked if I had the quarter pounder. No, I did not. He asked to see my receipt and then asked for me to pull ahead. I sat for 10 minutes until another patron walked past and said if I wanted my food I should probably go in, because it was a cluster in there. I did, and there were 5 to 6 people in back all scrambling around. The boy from the window saw me and immediately realized he had blown it. I asked for my drink as they scrambled to get my food. He just gave me the cup to fill it myself. Then there were no lids. Finally got our food and were on our way....no napkins. I will be avoiding...
Read moreThe service is always slow in this Steven's Point McDonald's. The food was luke warm when we picked it up at the counter. It is always too cold inside to stay there very long. It seems to me that this McDonald's needs to hire more workers.
The McDonald's Corp. should also build a new restaurant in a nearby location so the employees would have a building large enough to serve the customers in a timely manner. There is a shopping mall across the street and slightly east, with space available, to build a new, much larger McDonald's restaurant and parking space is available.
The other fast-food restaurants along Highway 10 in Stevens Point are busy too, but they take better care of their customers. Good service is NOT POSSIBLE in the small McDonald's that is presently serving customers to the best of the ability of the staff. The McDonald's employees and the customers deserve better conditions to work in and to eat in.
The McDonald's Corp. should be ashamed of itself for not taking care of this location sooner. It is now a dire situation. The time...
