PHO EVER 21 — Restaurant in Stevens Point

This is my second time going there with my husband and friends. The first time, food was great, a little pricy. But the second time, we went in around 12 for lunch. Lights were all turned off, it was very dark, we had to ask server if she can turn on the lights for us cuz it caused me headache and also we cannot see the food very well. Server was nice and turned on the lights for us. We ordered pho and some appetizers, the chicken wings were good, not a big fan on the teriyaki sauce. Spring roll was delicious. But the broth of the pho, it’s over powering by the spices, it was also too salty. And we also didnt get bean sprout during this second visit. Overall, the tastes of the food tasted differently between the two visits. It’s a new restaurant, they are probably trying to figure out what will work the best. We went to this restaurant with a party of 11. The large table was near the wall which had a large area showing music videos. I realize that many people like this type of thing but we found it distracting. The restaurant is clean and the decor is fun and appropriate. Much of the food was very good, however the pho was average and didn't come with the bean sprouts, peppers, basil that usually accompanies it. We asked for two separate checks but the server gave us one check and then refigured our bill. We weren't informed there was an 18% fee added to both bills because of our large party until we received our revised bills. If we had known about this ahead of time, we would have sat at 2...

Some of the people were nice. The gentleman who seated us was lovely. Our particular waiter was pretentious, though. I felt like we were an inconvenience just by being there, and we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Atmosphere was clean but the restaurant was empty. Pho was plain. What’s the point in a robot if there is also a server? How much did that thing cost, I wonder. It was sooo quiet in there it was awkward, they had music playing at a whisper.
