Linq Kitchen & Cocktails — Restaurant in Stockbridge

I went to Linq Kitchen & Cocktails on Saturday for my niece 47th birthday party. I was excited because the name sounded nice and it was black-owned. First off, our waitress did not tell us her name or offer us a glass of water. We had no complimentary rolls or bread of any kind and we had a long wait for the food even though they were not crowded. My lemonade was tasteless and so was the ice tea. They had no frozen drinks and I had to ask for napkins. We had to be squished at one table because we were told that another table could not be added even though there was an empty table near the wall. You could not substitute any of the preplanned menu selections and they were not budging. Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed for every teeny item and pay a $2. upcharge for certain side items on their very limited menu. They did not have french fries or baked potatoes of any kind on the menu. The side portions were served in a tiny black toddler bowl. The food we did order and did not like was the devil eggs, fried green tomatoes, macaroni & cheese, smothered turkey wings, collard greens, spinach. What we did like okay was the shrimp & grits, swai fish (just a tad less salt though), and the deep fried Cornish hen. Once it was time to pay the bill, I had to pay on the little machine the waitress had and she said she had to print out the receipt at the bar. I did not get my receipt until it was time for us to leave out the door and when I got into the car, I seen that I was charged twice for the tip because I did not know it was already added into my bill. I was livid because the food nor the service was all that so be careful and check EVERYTHING on your bill before leaving. My bill for just me was $55.15 and I was still hungry when I left. I would not go here again nor recommend this restaurant until some serious changes are made to the tipping process, menu, food...

For starters, I always review restaurants and I try to be OVERLY fair! First, WATCH and BEWARE the Gratuity is already added to your bill, but the tip will show AGAIN when you are paying!! ALSO, awe where charged gratuity for a party of 6 or more, and any toddler can count 1+ 1 =2. Not sure if our server messed up or the owner/ manager did it intentionally, but comes across shady! No paper receipt is shown itemizing anything!! Restaurant has a very nice vibe and is very clean.(5 Stars) DJ played good music on a Friday night, but too loud for dinner hours 7-9. (Club Loud!) Jasmine, our server was very nice, and young (most servers were very young!) but messed up our order (3 stars). SMH. We ended up with 2 plates of fried crispy pork chops $22 each (too well done, so dry_ A digital thermometer would have easily corrected this), didn't get our rib tips that we clearly ordered! (The wait was already 15 mins for the chops to marinate, so we just kept them, since we were hungry!) Sides are small and cant be switched out? We share food and didnt want 2 of the same items. Greens were salty. Mac n Cheese was tasty, but not very cheesy. My BF said yams were tasty. The cornbread was on point! ( 3 Stars) My BF got the $18 house margarita which had a lot of ice and fell short on alcohol, ( I often sip on his margaritas, Im not a drinker, I liked it, which is a clear signal the alcohol was lacking. The place is nice but that's it. This place is Trash. Let me first start by saying we had a reservation for 20 people in advance. Just to paint the picture we actually were in the restaurant for 40 mins before six additional people walked in here but other than that the restaurant was empty. Taking a reservation for 20 people but not clarifying that the tables will be separated 10 to two different tables is crazy. When asked if we were allowed to push the tables together a call was made to the owner and she said "no " . So here we are celebrating a birthday sitting at two separate tables. The customer service was nice so l appreciate our server but the food was just mediocre . A lot of the sides were giving boxed and canned foods. Especially the Mac and cheese it looked and tasted like Kraft easy Mac and cheese. My flight pancakes came to the table half cook, half undone . My waiter was nice to get the remade but you could tell they were undercooked the minute they hit the table and I only waited 30 mins for them. The ambiance is really nice in here but that doesn't make up for the lack of everything else. So if your just looking for a drink, good music this may be your place but if you're looking for good food, fast service and a place to have celebrations for a group of 20 or more it's a no but hey I'll try everything once but definitely didn't make the twice list.
