There's a few good people who go to this park with their kids and grandchildren. But after some jerks decided to burn down the playground the city built the new one very cheaply. And the sad part is it's made from nice materials, especially since some people decided to try and burn down the new one too! I say it's poorly made for one reason. The city claims the new playground is for children up to 12 years old. HOWEVER, I know it's not! I am 5'5 with a 4'2 son and I haven't grown since I myself was 12. My son is 7. I nearly got a concussion on this playground the first time I took my son here and was playing with him because one of the archways is so low. I was crouched and chasing son around, he ran under the arch, and I was looking at the stairs underneath it so I didn't trip. Smack!!! I hit that arch so hard I practically flew backwards, fell on the stairs, and was so dazed that I couldn't move for a few minutes because I needed to catch my breath and try to ignore the sudden horrible headache I had. Totally dangerous and I probably should have sued the city since I had roughly 6 witnesses. It is because of this event and the people who very frequently hang out there without children that I am rating it so lowly. I hate that it's not built to the true possible height of the oldest children that should be able to play here but can't because it's not truly the correct size for them and tiny adults who are the size of 12yr olds. Mayor Tubbs is a cheapskate in my opinion after...
