Wow!, has this place gone downhill. Super slow service, in fact two larger groups came in after us, group one was done BEFORE we even received our food. Ordered guacamole, takes forever to get it, by then we were out of chips and you would think she would bring more....not a chance. The "ice" water was warm, so warm I asked for a glass of ice to put in water. All ice melted and made the water at best "cool". Our food order took 45 minutes to arrive at our table, only to have two orders cold, not hot, not warm, but cold. And, I ordered refried beans and she brings whole beans. So we let her know that two plates of food was cold and she brought me the wrong type of beans. Her comment for the food temperture was to blame the cooking order and the beans mixup was met with" did you order refried beans"? Been going to this restaurant since I was 11 years old, I am know 59. The past 4 times we have gone there, the service is worst and the food temperture is not acceptable. Did not complain the first three times, but this time I let the waitress know and she took NO responsibility , only blaming the cooks and asking me if I ordered refried beans. Will not be going back anytime soon, there are other Mexican restaurants to try.,...
Read moreHave been going to this Restaurant for years, have since moved out of the area. Today had to have fasting labs drawn in Stockton. Came here immediately afterwards to get breakfast. My husband had picked up a cup of Non-Brand Generic Coffee. As soon as we walked in this blue-eyed man behind the counter started yelling at my husband because he brought in his cup of coffee. He was VERY RUDE! And then pointed to a sign on the door. My husband left his cup on the counter. While I can totally understand why they don't want outside beverages, I do not understand the RUDE delivery of the message. Ironically as we sit here by the door, we have seen all kinds of people walk in with various drinks in their hands and he has said nothing to them. This will likely be the LAST time we ever eat here. Very sad, since this has been our go to place for so long. Oh...and btw the RUDE man is...
Read moreFinally went to this restaurant with some friends. It is their favorite Mexican Food place not sure it is mine. Everybody has different likes when it comes to food.
The food was fresh and tasted good but in my opinion, too much sauce (which I thought was a bit watery - again my opinion) for the dish I ordered, which was Chilaquiles with eggs. The eggs had been scrambled not fried eggs put on top like I have had at other establishments.
My friends had Huevos Rancheros with Chili Colorado and his wife had a Wet Chicken Burrito. Their meals looked good, so maybe it was the dish I ordered. I was told that you have to go for breakfast or lunch to get the fresh homemade tortillas. They were tasty. Our server was attentive.
Anyway, if in the area maybe you give it a go. It is a well known restaurant in the area and has been...
