Looking for a treat to seemingly magically whisk you away to a island on a hot summer day. Well. I’ve got just the spot. This place is almost a personal scoop of paradise from the order process to the eating part. Seriously. The vibe when you walk in is mad mellow and relaxed. Great music playing. Open airy feel to the small but bright space. Staff is very friendly and informative on how to order and what their suggestions are. It was my daughter and my first time. So it was for sure an experience. She got a sour mix with I call it the snow. But it’s a kinda evaporated milk topping. It was really good especially since it was a hot day. Best shave ice I’ve ever had. I lived in Hawaii for a while and never had anything this good! I visited Maui a lot while living in Lanai and wish I had tried this then, but there’s no time like the present esp being back here in NorCal where they have a couple of locations. The ice is so incredibly soft and they leave no white ice, allowing customers to head up front for more (or request less) syrup. They use Gunther’s ice cream here too. We got the Ulu sized shave ice with vanilla ice cream and No Ka Oi “The Best” flavored combo, which was mango, coconut and passion fruit, all topped with haupia cream (vegan friendly). So ono. Great variety of flavors and exceptionally tasty. Definitely need work on the service. There were 5 people in attendance. 1 Decided to take break when people were lining up. Front cashier decided to clean while taking orders up front making customers wait. Only 1 person was able to use the ice machine? There was actually 3 machines. At peak times people like to get there items and go. Especially being as hot as it has been. We were there at least 45 minutes from beginning to end. There were 5 of us.
