Customer service & work ethic needs improvement. I'm a grubhub food delivery driver; time is money for me. When I received this particular order, grubhub required I place it by phone myself and then go pick it up. I had 18 minutes to get to this particular waffle house they assigned to me. I called to place the diner's order and was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and the phone kept ringing until the call ended. Tried to call a third time and the phone was picked up for a few seconds; I proceed to say "hello?" several times without response. By the time of my 3rd call I was only a couple minutes from the restaurant.
When I came inside i expected to see a roomful of customers. Afterall, that would be help me understand why they couldn't/wouldnt answer the phone. Such was not the case though. There were a total of 4 workers behind the counter & seemingly only 2 PAYING customers not including myself. I placed my order with the cashier, a young girl behind the counter who then proceeded to take my payment and announce my order to the cook. The order probably took a total of 8-10 minutes to make...I probably wasted a total of 15 minutes at the restuarant when I could have placed my order by phone, picked up my order immediately, and delivered within the time it took them to take my payment, relay my order, and prepare it. It just seemed like none of these workers had the desire to work except the cook. There was one server chopping onions whose girlfriend was waiting at the bar; her shift was about to end so she was just trying to finish up. Understandable. The waitress seemed bored out of her mind because she only had one table to wait on. The cashier's friend was sitting at one of the tables so she went and sat with him most of my wait. Generally, I'd say it's great for your friends to come visit you at work, but if it impedes you from doing your job then it's not okay. They were NOT busy. They were just being lazy and rude. There was no real sense of urgency (except from the cook), no sense of welcome, nothing. Though they were ungeniunely pleasant when I was in their presence, I still felt...
Read moreWe went to the waffle House on panola and Covington highway it was horrible. The waitress was irritated she had to stop eating and waiting on us. She put our food order in continued to eat and forgot our waffles. She was sitting close to us so I asked her about our waffles. She stated to me when they are ready they will let me know and I will bring them to you. After we had our food and still no waffle she finally stops eating and goes over to the waffle station and drops our waffle. I asked to speak with the manager. He was the same guy laughing and giggling with the waitress and told me that she can eat. I stated not while she's serving customers. He looked at me as if I had said the dumbest thing. Then the waitress slaps our ticket down on the table while he was standing there and walked away back to her seat and continued to eat. I told the manager this was unacceptable and his reply to me was 'well'. He had his name tag covered up I couldn't really see it so I asked his name and he said bye. I told him where he could go as well. We probably removed ourselves and left the food that was delivered on the table. I asked for corporate information although I know I can find it myself and I will and he refused. He is not management material nor is the waitress capable of providing service in a professional manner. This is the waffle House I believe 6100. There was a gentleman outside he stated he saw in her what happened and that's why he does not claim working at that restaurant. He stated and need a job I don't like working there it is a total mess and an embarrassment to the waffle House franchise. I will be contacting corporate to have this manner conveyed to them on how they need to improve and remove some of their staff. There was one young lady that was very nice. She came over and tried to assist us. We didn't have the proper silverware to eat with. Our waitress was more concerned about getting back to her plate. I would never go back to this location. They can close it down for all I care. This incident happened today Sunday...
Read moreAvoid if possible... when things start off bad just walk away. The cooks and the servers should be sync at a place like this they're only short orders. So this day 9/1/2017 I called in my order around 11:30pm. I arrived around 11:50pm stood at the register for about 10 minutes until I was helped. During that time I observed the chaos that was taking place at this business, witnessing two parties leaving disappointed. Also watched the staff arguing with each other in front of the customers about orders. So finally this gentleman asked me what did I order, after telling him he snickers and says Amanda has your order. 5 minutes pass by I'm still at the register Amanda walks up and says you had a All-star breakfast... another 6 minutes pass by I'm still waiting. She finally comes back and hand me a bag of food, as I looked inside the order was wrong. I was missing bacon and she gave me grits instead of hashbrown. I address the problem thinking made we can fix quick. She turns around and gives me some old cold bacon and some burned hashbrown off of someone else's plate. I kindly address her again about the problem, she begins to give me sass about the food bein fresh and not charging for the bacon. So I returned fired and address this woman again because the hashbrown should of been topped with ham. At this point I'm not sure why I was still here... when she walked off I walked out. I wasted 30 minutes of my life here and didn't even...
