My family & I chose to grab a quick dinner at Zaxby’s on Panola Rd. Typically, I frequent the Zaxby’s on Mall Pkwy, but I decided to go a different route. Horrible mistake.
For starters, I thought by ordering our food via the mobile app would be faster; no, another mistake on my part. When we arrived at the restaurant we were parked and waited for 10mins. Ok, no problem. We waited.
A young lady came outside asking if we ordered online? Yes, we did (communication appears to be a problem). So, she proceeded to gather our food. We left, didn’t check our order because we thought everything was in good order.
Our order was incomplete and incorrect. So, I had to go back to the restaurant asking for my order to be corrected. The shift manager appeared to be bothered that I asked for my order to be corrected. I asked a young lady with red hair and a gentleman would they eat this sloppy prepared sandwich, they answered no. So they proceeded to correct my order and make it right. Thank you for that; however, the shift manager became flustered because I asked for the sauces that they never gave me to begin with.
There should not have been any questions asked nor comments, the correct way to make it right is to get it right by providing the customer with the appropriate condiments/items requested. This location does not have the best reputation when it comes to customer service and, unfortunately, at times the quality of the food. This location lacks common etiquettes and I honestly feel as though the owner as well as management has got to do better in both the staff they hire and way they train their staff. On May 17 I was in the drive thru line for 25/30 min. It was 9:30 when I checked the clock (and that was a little after I had already been in drive thru for a while). Around this time workers from this location were walking out of the store, but did not attempt to inform the LONG LINE OF CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING that their closed. There was one particular female employee who literally made eye contact with me, she watched me watch her and STILL DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BEING CLOSED. Common sense would say “What they lack in customer service should be made up by the quality of the food” but that is far from it. In the last year and 7 months (when I moved into the area) I’ve gone to this location a hand full of times. Read moreUpon first entering, the air looked a little cloudy/ misty, and it smelled really weird. stopped by with my child and I initially didn't mind waiting, but it was incredibly awkward when the employees were trying to get the manager's help with some technical difficulties and the conversation was shouted across the restaurant. The manager ended up shouting a potential solution, and either the employees were too incompetent to implement it, feeling too lazy, or the proposed solution would not have solved the whole issue. Either way, another customer ended up getting heated with them because of this. After I received my food, everything was fine at first. I sat down in a small booth with my child and he was enjoying his food. I then saw a baby cockroach crawling along the booth wall. I immediately gathered my things, threw out all the food, and left.
